Thanks for the link. Very much appreciated lir /exo! I'll have a good read later.
The roads here were terrible today. I lost tyre traction whilst attempting to ascend the north downs . Eventually swallowed my pride, turned the car around and headed home. I would've had to travel through kent (tomterm is this your county?) too. In hindsight, I think it was the right choice to return.0 -
Yeah, I live in Kent, but it is quite a large county. Where I am, the roads were complete chaos. Better stay away. I haven't really had a look at the roads today (beyond my road, which is never gritted anyway), but it was chaos yesterday without much snow, and it has snowed a lot more today... I wouldn't really want to go through it unless I had to.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

I was supposed to be going out tonight. Christmas do. Had my spangly party trousers and a nice top all ready, with of course the obligatory lbd as back up in case I changed my mind. It got snowed off. I can't get anywhere near where we were supposed to be going. Come to that, I can't get out of my road. I hope it's better tomorrow as I'm due to be going to the Royal Albert Hall. I need a fingers crossed emoticon. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Its amazing that the places with the best infrastructure have suffered so much. I mean....Brent Cross closing on a Sataurday :eek:0 -
Yes I saw Brent Cross on the news. The Saturday before Christmas and it had two cars in the John Lewis car park! Scary... This is the wierdest run up to Christmas I've ever experienced. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Our town centre was busy, busy, busy....but then our snow didn't come until 4.30 this afternoon. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

I have met several people who are Aspie or have Aspie children who say that it's quite an accurate portrayal, even though it is a novel.
This looks to be the full version in a PDF. All the chapters in prime numbers? It's on a Russian server... and the link and document isn't ringing any alarm bells for my (fully tooled-up) browser and computer. If someone wanted to have a flick through to decide whether it's a worthy real world book purchase......
Although, despite thinking I wouldn't be able to be comfortable reading from an LCD screen, I've become a bit of an e-book lover. A real space saver and my collection of e-books now matches my real world bookcase in number, and have also given some of my duplicate real paper books away because of acquiring the e-book version.
