LydiaJ : I saw a numberplate with your MSE name on it....something like Lyd numbers J. It was a very smart car you'll be pleased to know.

I also bought a cheap camera so I can take snaps, not good ones you understand, just ones.

I've bought 2 lonicera plants to go around the trellis.

(Last year under pressure from the kids I removed the roses as the thorns burst the footballs so it is looking bare.)

Any tips on planting out. They are about 2 foot high and twisted around a cane in the pots. Do i untwist them and encourage them to twist around the fence posts that form the basis of the trellis or do I plant them with their canes?

Davesnave will tell you better later, but for the record I'd personally remove the canes and encourage them around the posts you want the on. Because I'm a fiddler and like to do things like that. :)

Now seriously peed off, got the new washing machine door down, got the old one off and then managed to cut my thumb. I was just in the process of finishing putting the plaster over it when youngest decided to be ultra helpful and picked up the new door and put it up to the machine...in the process, knocking the little thing that takes the screws and holds the door in place back into the depths of the machine.

We cannot get to it, the door won't go on without it and so I am £53 down, have a gash on my thumb and a door and washing machine that is useless.

    Arggghhhhhh!!!!

God knows what I am going to do now...probably have to rent a new washing machine.

I feel like crying, I really do...why can't anything ever go right.

Sue, take a deep breath. I don't know how to get you help over the weekend, but the hard part was getting a door to fit. A precision engineer would be able to form you a little plate for screws if you need one, or maybe get one from the mfr (this is where WS's sob story idea could really come into its own). Make sure you lift up the machine and check underneath, pull out if necessary. My wm doesn't have a solid base, so any screws and plates would drop through onto the kitchen floor, fingers crossed yours would do the same.

Thanks....at least with going to my parents caravan for some of the weekend gives me access to a launderette, so I can get some clothes done there ready for the boys to go back to school on Tuesday.

Couldn't believe it but we have absolutely no launderettes within a 30 mile radius! I have been hand washing but arthritic hands and hand washing don't really go together too well but it will have to do for now.

It's been such a good day but now I feel horrible for spending money on having my hair trimmed (for the first time since June last year).....almost like it is payback for spending money on myself...silly I know but that is how my brain works.

Edit - one bonus is because youngest feels so guilty for breaking the door in the first place and then losing the part needed to fix the new door, he has been offering me cups of tea every 5 minutes!

Some right wierdo's on there. & less facts or honesty than this board. Sheesh!

I refuse to believe that is possible.

My whole sense of what is or isn't reality will be shot down in flames if that is correct.

It would have been easier to have taught them how to kick the ball straight.

I think generally the top or back of washing machines are designed to be removed quite easily which might let you find the missing bit(?). May be a google on how to remove top /back might help? Of course it may still not be possible to hold the back plate in the right place to actually attach the new door...

    First result from google:

Are any of your DS's strong enough to move the machine so you can work on it as you shouldn't be moving it with your back (I wouldn't with my back)
