This thread could also be titled "the nice people's little thread of randomness". We jump between subjects on here, but it's a fun place to hang out.

Help, please! Fortunately, I don't think this is a really big problem.

    1. I know nothing about gardening.
    2. I bought sunflower seeds when MIL was staying with us, mainly for occupational therapy.
    3. We planted these in pots. I would have put one per pot, but MIL put 4 or 5 in each pot, and lots of them have germinated.
    4. What do I do now? (I could bin them all, but I've got a nice south-facing spot against the house where I could put two or three.)

So, do I have to be ruthless and snuff out all but one of these seedlings in each pot? So cruel! And how big do they have to be to be planted on in the bed?

Oh, and anyone want to come and collect a pot?

I'd just stick them in the ground and hope for the best. A row of them usually looks amusing.

I would ask son if he wants to grow some, but he would remind me that he is 17 not 7. Worse, he would then lecture me on meeting up with people you find on the internet.

OH has always refused to have matching watches. Think he would have a heart attack if I suggested matching cars!

I'm quite shocked, Im sure you've described yourself as leading a relatively frugal lifestyle. Why would you need 2 six seaters? Isn't the idea to have cars for different purposes. So one has a family car and the other a run about?

On the subject of cars, I was on a forum dedicated to my car (sad I know, but I was getting frustrated with delayed delivery times and wanted info and support). So now there are a few of them around and they are organising a meet. I can't think of anything more boring.

    "Nice car"
"I chose that one as well"
"how many white ones can you see"
"oh you went for folding wing mirrors how exciting"

What is the point, apart from amusing everyone else in the locality to see a fleet of them.

So how it happened was we had 1 which we had for 5 years (bought 2 years old at 60% off new price) and I had a small run-around but it was a 3 door and that was such a pain if we did need to use it for the kids for any reason with putting small babies in and out of the back plus it would not fit 3 car seats. Also the multipla was a petrol with a poor mpg so in reality we needed to replace both cars and ... a newer diesel multipla came up at a good price so rather than replace the petrol multipla we replaced the run-around.

The first petrol one we bought a 4 year warranty with it and it never went wrong in the 4 years, but since we got the diesel one and hardly used it it has gone in to a bit of a sulk. The second, diesel one (bought just under 5 years old, 85% off new price) has been a pain with faults but the clutch/gearbox troubles may allegedly be something to do with the fact that we got someone to talk nicely to the ECU computer to increase the bhp from 115 to 150 - still it is fun confusing the Audi's at the traffic lights...

    I need help

Up to now holidays have been really easy. It was the only the brat and I.

Every january (since she was nine) I gave her my credit card and a budget and left it to her. We ended up in some interesting places but hey she was happy........

This year I handed her the card, outlined the budget and she laughed and handed it back. She said miracles are my job.

Sooooooooo, I need a happy holiday anywhere (this country included) that caters for two small girls, one teenager and my mother(who on account of the viagra fiasco is now on her own).

Somewhere Disneyish would be good because the girls and the brat are hugely into the whole princess thing. Except it would kill my mother and the states is too far. I honestly couldn't stand the flight with them all, I'd have a nervous breakdown.

So I need somewhere sedate enough for the auld dear and exciting enough for the girls.

They all adore shopping and dressing up

None of them give a toss about culture but I keep hoping

Think My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding goes on holiday. One of my aunts may be coming too so her and the auld dear could amuse each other through the day. Fingers crossed.

I need a really good hotel because they will all kick off if it isnt. Including the four year old.

The upside is we only need a week if it is broad because the dog has issues with kennels.

Budget, if you could do it for 3k I would be your friend forever.

My Ma and the mad aunt will pay their own.

    Miracles on a postcard please
