Found out that Public Enemy will play Fear Of A Black Planet at a local venue - I am so there. Saw them 2 years ago and was completely blown away!
Also, in the same 5 minutes, found out that Penguin Cafe are playing Birmingham Town Hall. I've never been there & it has been done up a lot, so that gig was a must. Went & saw Penguin Cafe in Feb & they were very good indeed. So looking forward to that one.
Also realised it isn't long until I go & see John Cleese, and a week after that, Derren Brown.
Talking of Derren, he has a new show on, easter monday, 9pm called DERREN BROWN: MIRACLES FOR SALE . I'd encourage all to watch!:)
Public Enemy as in Don't Believe the Hype? Please take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk

There's only 1 public enemy.
Chuck d, flava flav and so on. Yep. Bring tha noize!
They played the custard factory about 2 years ago. I went, it was awesome. They came on stage ridiculously late (10.45pm or something). As they came on stage, a friend sent me a text saying he was at the coldplay gig at the NIA & it was really good. I think I got the better deal...:cool:It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Congratulations NDG. I've seen you on the DIY board too - would love to see the 'before' picturesEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Broadway would be lovely on a day like today. And other Cotswolds places, Chipping Campden; you can go and see if the house I like in Leysbourne is still for sale. Go up the Broadway tower and take in the view on the drive up, lunch at Russels, nice little drink, fall over. Perfect.
I went to WSM once but the sea had decided not to turn up that day. What's that all about?! Miles of muddy sand and no sea. I didn't like it at all.
I don't know how to use the multiquote if you hadn't all noticedEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Click on the speech bubbles in a post so a tick appears in it. You can do this on up to 3 posts at a time (there are ways to increase this, but thats another subject). When you've ticked all the posts you want to multi quote, click the post reply button, & they'll line up for you.:)lostinrates wrote: »doozer, you are one of us now....''the debate coven''.
Now if I'm not mistaken, this coven it appears to be a female fing.
What do male contributors like all the ssssss's (was thinking about him the other evening - glad to see him back!) get to do? Park your [STRIKE]broomsticks[/STRIKE] cars & wait in the bar?;)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

doozer, can I ask for a little more info/suggestions if it isn't too much trouble please? I like your thinking (even though I may not use the suggestion easter monday, I may well use it over the summer).
many thanks to you!:)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Well, if you start in Broadway from this end of the world, the road going towards Moreton-in-Marsh has glorious views, although the Cotswolds aren't exactly short on glorious views. Broadway Tower I'm sure is along that road somewhere, up the top of the hill. And around there is also the Lavender Fields. I'd love to see them but not made it yet at the right time to see it in bloom.

I do like Broadway for browsing poncy middle-class lifestyle accessories, as PN says! Don't do much buying unless there is a sale on. Russels is a lovely restaurant which is quite pricey but they do a much cheaper lunch menu which isn't a compromise at all. You can sit outside and people watch there.
I liked Bourton on the Water too, it looks like a film set, it's that idyllic. You only need to sit and eat ice cream by the river.
And Burford. That's an expensive place to live! But just driving around is nice - if you take a slower route from that part, across towards Tewkesbury on the way back, you get slightly different, but also lovely views. It's the nicest thing on a sunny day.
Chipping Campden is quite small but pretty, they have a lovely church/monastry? And a walled garden just off the high street next to the nice house I likeThere's a lovely hotel there too that has a fancy spa but they do a great afternoon tea (don't even try that and lunch though!)
Ultimately, you don't need to spend anything in that part of the world because it's so nice to look at, other than petrol and an ice cream. And you could just stick a pin in the map and do a bit of a route round - you won't be disappointed.
I want to go now!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I replied where's it gone?
Any way, men can be witches. But I prefer to think of some of you as Familiars.0 -

Nope. Sorry, that is so wrong. Men can't be Witches. They are only allowed to be Warlocks. 'Tis in the rule book. The tough guide to fantasy land so it must be true.
Just heard the news about Elisabeth Sladen dying. That's quite depressing, really.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”
