Half the price .... seems doable. And it'd be completely hand-crafted.
But .... I won't be offering as it's just a guess it's easy - and I'd be scared of doing it as my first thing really.
Doesn't look hard though.
Maybe I can stand over LIR while she does it and I could coach her. 1 day's coaching and all the tea I can drink.
Its the stand part that looks hard, isn't it? I have wire which I presume I can spray paint......fire hazardand can build up a bigger bird collection over time. Do you think you can work out the stand?
On that same website there is a Morrocan lamp I like too. Not so prescious about that, looking for a high street alternative to those.
Now I just need to find someone who can do my Yvonne Coomber [STRIKE]rip off[/STRIKE] inspired paintings and strip and paint the walls and its the first sorted room..oh yeah, and floors and bannister painting. Till they come and take down one of those walls for the repairs!0 -

Ok - Comet Milton Keynes have agreed to deliver a brand new machine on 21st March when they get stock and take away the broken one. So I should have a brand new machine for the price of a display second.
After my laundrette experiences this AM I am thinking of using the current one and sitting with my back to it holding the door closed - spin cycle could be interesting, maybe DW and I could hold it together at that point
We are starting to make a dent on the garage and the loft is pretty much done - hoping the builders can start at the start of April.I think....0 -
Well, ours has lasted 13 years of really, really hard use and is expected to go on another 5 years or so. The one I pointed out at John Lewis is £699, so that's twice what you paid for the Panasonic. (I've forgotten how much you said you paid!) But you'd be getting a brand new machine, rather than shop-damaged. The Miele's 6Kg not 8Kg, and I think it's 1300rpm not 1600rpm. Incidentally, it's not just rpm that counts but the diameter of the drum. The Panasonic may be very well built too, ofc.
Oh, and best of all, you'd be dealing with JL not Comet!
My Zanussi 7kg 1600rpm is still going strong after 7 years.
Spin effectiveness should depend approximately on (diameter)x(rpm squared).Ok - Comet Milton Keynes have agreed to deliver a brand new machine on 21st March when they get stock and take away the broken one. So I should have a brand new machine for the price of a display second.

In my life, a launderette is a place where we go half way through our week in the caravan in the summer if there's been a lot of rain and the children have managed to get all fourteen changes of clothes muddy in three or four days.
michaels - can you find something heavy to lean up against the door so you don't have to hold it?
I was planning to do lots of unpacking yesterday afternoon, but ended up spending the time on change of address paperwork that was getting urgent - considerably slowed by having to search through the boxes for each piece of paper that I needed. Still, I have got lightbulbs in all the light sockets now, so that's a little bit of progress.
The big question now is how much can I get done this evening. I had a splitting headache when I got in from school, so have had a bit of a rest rather than starting straight away, but the painkillers have kicked in now so I need to make a start. The challenge for tonight is to get all the stuff either put away or back in the boxes, and the boxes stacked tidily in each room, and the floors vacuumed. I want to feel I can live in the house without having to keep climbing over things. I want to be able to look tomorrow night's babysitter in the eye too!The good news is that three friends have each offered to come over on different days next week and give me a bit of a hand - the help will be appreciated but also it will motivate me to stop procrastinating and get on with it.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

I have amazing friends! :T I never cease to be grateful to them and for them.
Mind you, when the story of your life sounds like something out of a soap opera, it makes people more inclined to offer help.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? I was going to give you some brassica recipes but can't work out how to comment lol. A friend's sister is wondering what to charge me for setting up a website and I've been offered a page ad on a friends' website but don't feel ready to advertise yet.
The wind is setting of my neuralgia so I've retreated inside holding my ears and whinging.
Thank you.
There's not much I can do about the comment thing... you click on "0 comments" and that produces a comment form, but with a limited number of options on how to log in. I prefer wordpress, but I decided to go for blogger since this is a hobby blog.
I'll look into it further, but there doesn't seem to be any options to change it.
Do take care in the wind... it is still quite cold out, too.
On the washing machine front, check you have a hot water tap.... or whatever they call it... so you can plumb in the hot water from your boiler. When we bought one earlier in the year, we didn't think to check. And it takes ages to heat up the water, so the machine is slower even though it has a fast spin.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”
