Mr Fox was sunning himself on our lawn again this morning, next to the climbing frame. He looked quite put out when I went into the garden, but he didn't get up.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Is that the same Mr Fox who keeps claiming he can't afford his first house?
I actually quite like foxes and don't mind when I see them, there are quite a few in the fields round here. Would probably think differently if I kept chickens though. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Of course, pretty weeds are perennial so I leave them over the winter and bingo they are there smiling at me next summer. If anyone ever asks me why I've got a garden full of weeds I'm going to say "well there's this woman on the net who says they are pretty", but so far people have just said it is a pretty garden, not which are weeds and which aren't.
My policy as well! A neat lawn, some trees and shrubs around the edges, a few planted flower pots and the self-seeded flowering weeds. That's our 'as easy as possible to manage' garden.
The bane of my life, though, is the bindweed that has got a grip in one part of the garden. Fortunately, the regularly mowed grass has prevented it from spreading to the other borders but all I have been able to do is to pull it out. It seems virtually indestructible.0 -
I'd like a very large conservatory, with verandah, leading onto a lovely beach-style garden. It'll be full of shells and some palm-like things in pots and some of that panelling that looks like sticks. And some fairy lights. And a nice corner water feature, with water tumbling onto slate and glass.

I suspect this was actually the Mr Fox whose wife wanted him to paint the nursery so it will be ready for a happy event (or six!) in the spring. He actually spent around 6 hours sunbathing today, so he was not desperately keen to get home, that's for sure.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Feeling very shaky right now, middle son has just had a major aspergic rage and it has left me pretty bruised. I think all the pressure he has been under with the choices at school and generally being an adolescent (which is not easy when you have Aspergers) has put his coping mechanism and control out of kilter.
Me and youngest have come upstairs to keep out of the way while he calms down in the front room otherwise one of us probably would have ended up in hospital...eldest has gone out for a walk to get out of the way.
Edit - and now eldest has said he isn't coming home....everything is falling apart. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
