Shrug. There goes my traffic on hubpages.com. Google algo change it is then.
Lucky it is only beer money for me.
OH NOES!!!
There goes my gravy train!
£10 today .... that'd mean a yearly income of about £4,000 if it keeps this up.... minus costs means about £3,000!!0 -
Put it this way... I've just checked. IIRC, Yesterday the Hubpages.com alexia rank was 20 in the US. Now it is 100.
And squidoo has been absolutely creamed, judging by alexia.
I have changed my mind... this smells of a board decision - a manual intervention - and not an algorithm change.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

I just compared today -v- last Friday (not definitive comparison obviously, just a quickie). 1100 views last week, 400 today.
I was kind of wondering if it was also down to "last Friday of the half term", clutching at straws.0 -
On an upbeat note..... there is a slim chance I might be living somewhere different by this time next week. However, it's down to other people and I can't even get a viewing until Wednesday.... so not in my hands at all.0

To translate that, are you saying that Google has changed its search algorithm with the result that your pages on hubpages have gone much further down the list? Or all pages on hubpages have gone further down? Or....?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Hubpages is only getting 31% of its traffic today from search engines, whereas normally it would get 80% or so of its traffic from search engines.
As far as I can see, huge numbers of pages that used to be the first thing you saw in google aren't even on the first page.
This has happened over night.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

We're doomed. Well, a bit more brassic than yesterday.
Hubs = £123 so far for me this month.... but I'm noticing a tad less traffic on my main site too, which might be a normal Friday fluctuation.0 -
I think it will not affect your main site, or may even help it. It is defiantly aimed at web 2.0. Have you checked out http://knol.google.com/k ? I can't help but think they are making room for their own web 2.0 site to take off. (maybe I am a cynic).“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Theirs isn't a revenue share, the tight b4stards!!
Oh - yes it is. Time to port the articles over I guess!
Edit: Or is it... it's confusing.
Edit2: There's mention of an adsense account in the settings once logged in.0 -
Er... I think you might be wrong, I haven't looked into it in detail, but I think you get 100% of the revenue. No referral scheme.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”
