PN, I just had a brainwave!. Get an allotment and erect a shed. Can you get an electricity supply though?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I need more upto date events organising experience. I can't remember if I can gift alcohol without licence. Been too long since I did anything and even longer since anything I did was potentially commercial....

Err.... No leccy on allotments, and no security either, very often, especially for those whose plots are weedy! ;) PN probably won't want the extra commitment of 120m2 of land to maintain.

Allotments are mini communities and there is zero chance of getting up to anything not garden (or relationship!) related in a shed on one. :)

But as was posted on here somewhere at the weekend, there are some damned fine 'sheds' about:

Drat. Info barrel has just rejected an article for the second time, for some minor idiotic reason. Who the heck doesn't accept links to an article on the same site in the last paragraph of the article? It was actually a sensible article, reasonably well written, as well, not my normal spam...

May just give up on the idiotic site.

I'd need electricity, water - and security. How would you feel, as a small single female, sitting in a shed at 3am in the middle of an allotment? They're thief targets at the best of times.

I don't want to go away from where I am, I don't want to travel to my "workbench". It needs to all be to hand, as inspiration kicks in and I get in the zone and want to work OCD-like for 20 hours at a stretch.

    Need comforts.

No loos on allotments either. No telly.

The only solution is to have space to set something up where I'm living. AND ... "where I'm living" must NOT be here. I have to find somewhere that I can afford, move there and set something up.

Got a lead for buying a seasonal caravan, might get a viewing at the weekend.

I just thought you might like to see this ad from my local freecycle. "I have 6x230g bars of Dairy Milk chocolate, which I thought I needed for
something, but it now turns out I don't. I would like to give them away before I
eat them!! To be collected from South End Green - preferably this evening!!"

Fortunately for me, they have already gone.

That's quite funny...but at south end green you'd think you'd be able to give them away quite easily...to big issue sellers or something.

n.b. I used to hate arriving at south end green and knowing I had to walk up the hill when I was ill in London (pathetically I often used to cry quietly trying to walk up the hill), so I always find it a bit of a sad place. :o:o I suppose I could get someone to drop squares of a big bar of dairy milk a la Hansel and Gretel to keep me going:D
