Being able to read Lydiaj, and everyone else became a part of my journey. I learn from you. In a small way I feel ''bettered'' from just reading a lot of the nice people. Things are revealed differently online.
Its like when we say we see people in the supermarket/trains/towns and think...I bet Pastures is like that, or...oooh that person reminds me of Single Sue....though not Real Life friends...what Wageslave would say, I guess is ''I care about the pixels''.
Their is nothing wrong with that.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
Just an update on youngest - He is still just barely keeping his peak flows above where I call my absolute bottom but has perked up in himself, so I didn't go up to the PAU with him.
It will be a sleepless night for me though as it is so knife edge with his levels. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Changing subject completely, anyone watch Mary Queen of Shops? Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Sue, I hope he improves overnight. Don't hesitate to take him to the PAU if he doesn't, though. That's what it's there for. You know that the doctors who really know him and his case have told you that you can take him there if he needs it. Please don't waste time with GPs and A&E etc. Just take him where he will get the care he needs.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
I will do.....eldest has given me orders too!
He doesn't want to sleep at the moment as it has scared him, he thinks if he goes to sleep, he won't wake up, so I am letting play for a little while on the xbox (not a 360 I hasten to add but a cheap one the boys got for a tenner), in the front room to see if that settles him a tad.
So far it is doing the trick! He is now much more relaxed....fingers crossed when the time is up, he will be in a better frame of mind to sleep. We made it! Youngest eventually went off to sleep at around 2am this morning but because there are another two children in the house which need to be at school, had to be up for the school run.
His peak flows were 50 below the line the nurse had set on Monday this morning but I haven't had that panic rising feeling yet when I know things are going out of control (although have had some eekk, not sure if I should do anything feelings), so haven't taken him to the PAU...he is currently fast asleep on the sofa in the front room, I couldn't bear to have him sleep in his room as I want to be able to keep a constant eye and ear on him just in case.
Seeing that doctor yesterday has confused me, made me unsure, made me feel that maybe I am getting into a panic without merit and it will just pass but the memories of his previous admissions are haunting me and I really don't know what to do for the best...he is not at a critical basis (eg, needing an ambulance etc) but he is also not getting any better. We made it! In my opinion the GPs are not specialists, the hospital nurses are. Are you able to talk to someone at the hospital on the phone?Youngest eventually went off to sleep at around 2am this morning but because there are another two children in the house which need to be at school, had to be up for the school run.
