    Great, you're here.

Did you see the programme? They were saying the girls who brought shame on their families by being a lone with a boy/man etc were unmarriable...but this is not true? Or just so rare as to be a quandry if it arises?

    Think Georgette Heyer.

You spend time alone with a boy, you better hope and pray he marries you. The pressure on both of you would be huuuuuuuge.

No wedding and all holy hell would be let loose.

I get that, but what does holy hell look like? If the guy just scarpered... Or was already married?
  • That's what I've been doing, but ultimately one needs a product to promote that is owned and created by you yourself, or you're just left floating about when the businesses and business models of others changes.

I've always struggled to find " a product", something I can make... and I think I now have. So, plan in operation, kind of.

I can't delegate. I am not a people person.... and a lot of people are !!!!!!/unreliable. I have no desire/skill to manage relationships with faceless outsourcers.

You do type for England don't you :)

Ok, fine, so how about buying in some stuff to resell? You don't have to make stuff yourself, there's thousands of products you can buy in and resell. It's hard work but so are most things. But it's doable. Obviously, there's various ways of doing it that can be better than others. What have you tried so far and how did it go? As you've been touching on in recent posts, I'd agree that high value small items have some advantages over a lot of other stuff.

I didn't understand the money angle. The lads all work as labourers, yet the girls were forever buying trinkets and expensive dresses. One girl said she spent upto £300 on a dress for a party and would only ever where them once!

It would involve a four by two and many, many broken bones.

    If he was already married....

I only ever heard of that once. They beat the girl half to death.

I think you are going to need quality not quantity to pull this one. And if you are just after her deposit don't even think about it. Her family on here are very protective.:exclamati
Hi Pastures, some suggestions, maybe useful, maybe not, probably worth at least a quick skim if nothing else, maybe you’ve already considered all this already or have tried it previously but in case not here it is :

Regarding you current business and orientation you could perhaps be doing affiliate marketing using some or all of your current websites and or some other new platforms. With a few hundred pages of material about various products and services fronting for the affiliate buttons that lead to the sites who do the sales you could be doing very well. Commission Junction is a good place to start and there’s a couple of other big players worth looking at. All the big companies do affiliate marketing and some of the top sites including the click through buttons make a lot of money for relatively little effort.
    I think....

Cash. Cash as a labourer can buy something later if tax is not paid on it. £300 cash, with low living costs and no tax saves up quickly over the same, plus higher living costs and minus tax. Some one I knew had a skip hire company another did bar/club refits in central London and earned a lot. Even after going big my guess is a good percentage was cash economy.

edt: these are only suspicions, and I accept might be a judgemental and bigoted view based on limited personal experience.
