You're always welcome Inspector.
I'm happy to research further if there is anything else I can help with - you can PM me whenever you like. The offer will always be there. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

just want to pick your brains......
many many people have asked us if we have ever thought about fundraising just for Daisy, rather than the charity that research her illness (www.port-charity.org.uk)
so many people have offered us donations directly, but we have always said no, give it to port.
but we are starting to realise that she is going to need many many things as she grows older, that we may not be able to afford, and NHS will not cover
(i'm already looking at house extensions, just to store all her medicines and equipment)
does anyone know much about accounting procedures and other stuff for setting up this sort of thing?
sort of things like the following:
would we have to register it as a charity?
do we not have to register it as a charity beacuse it is fundraising just for 1 person?
do we need trustees?
would be most greatful for any help or guidance
we have had a search around the internet, but its a bit of a minefield and all very confusing
tks & regards

Charities aid foundation. Google it. Can't really help beyond that.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

LJ, I'm thinking about a bath....do you think I should read ''Cooking with Booze'' (One of my heap for £3 books) so I can read a meal in the bath or start this one:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2666_%28novel%29
I'm leaning towards ''cooking with booze. I also looked at ''wine with food''. I actually fancy something light and dreamy but don't really have anything like that. I've looked at so many books about houses and decor since we got these house plans to play with that I can't stand another one tonight.0 -
Naughty LIR!:D
However, if you really must, I suppose I'd go with the cooking with booze book.
Have you read this:

Or my favourite ever novel style book:

Hmm...so you don't like food books? Or feel fiction in the bath is a worse transgression?
2666 I've had for a while, and I thought I'd get a couple of curl-up and snuggle book days over the holidays to attack it. (Its very dense writing..long paragraphs mean I have to hold along train of thought...hard). I start it...the first 100 pages or so, but have no recollection of it all (just found my little mark saying I'd read to here...a bit like I sometimes use the thanks button) so not sure why I didn't finish it. No that usual for me at all.
I haven't read that but its very popular on the old style boards. The only takeaway type food I wish I was better at is Chinese cooking. I can't eat thai food for some reason (I love it and have no allergies to anything in it but for some reason something terrible happens to me) and I'm not in love with most Japenese food ...but hen sushi is what you want nothing else will do! I don't like Korean food much either :oBut chinese food ...yum.0
