right i never have any problems with computers but OMG itunes is an absolute nitemare
does sync not mean it syncs the iphone and pc so they are the same?
i have all my songs on my iphone but no longer on my new PC after a hard disk failure. Surely if i sync it should put them back on the computer?
what am i doing wrong before i cut the phone in half
the last time i pressed sync with an apple device it synced an empty itunes to my full ipod and wiped the lot

iTunes is possibly /the worst/ piece of music bloatware ever invented.
Go and download 'ephpod' from Google, it is a free alternative that allows you to copy from your iPhone/iPod BACK to Windows - something iTunes WONT DO.
If you have clicked Sync already, you will have deleted all the music off of your device.0 -

As I know you can't copy songs from Ipod in PC...but I can be wrong!! You can try to reinstall iTunes...maybe this thing helps to you. I hope somebody will help you & will advise a special program for your trouble.0

The rationale behind 'Sync' is to sync the iPod to the content of the iPod library.
You add tunes to the iTunes library, the next time you sync, they're added to the iPod. Delete something from the iTunes library, the next time you Sync, it's deleted from the iPod.
It's NOT a sync which is intended to re-populate the iTunes library from the content of the iPod - iTunes is the Master, the iPod the slave.
If you lose your iTunes library, conventional Apple wisdom is that you restore it from your backup(s). However, there is third-party software or workarounds that will help - some have been mentioned here, but I suggest you google 'restore itunes library from ipod' or similar.....
If you've successfully Synced with the new content of your library, it will have erased all from your iPod that doesn't match this new library, so you won't be left with anything to restore from....0 -
this confirms it then itunes is absolute pap0

They designed it one way, you seem to be expecting it to work in another....0

They designed it
I think the vagaries of iTunes goes a very long way towards explaining why MP3 downloading is so popular.
Plus why does it install so much other junk without asking for permission? Junk which also grabs most media file associations :mad:0 -
as i said before lol0
