Of course you can join SuziQ1962 and SuzytheFloozy. Welcome to the thread. It's lovely to have you with us. biggrin.gif Have fun saving in 2011. You'll find your numbers at the bottom of the list on post 3 of page 1. Please read through posts 1 & 2 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. NB. Please pop your number on your sig, it helps so very much.

Suzy, all the best in being debt-free by the time you open your pot!

SuziQ, don't forget all change potted after shopping etc is a great way to save. :)

It's so good to see you all putting such marvelous amounts in your pots and being so thrilled at your achievements - well done ALL! :T

Commiserations JoeyGrey, that's very bad luck, but do you have a relative or kindly neighbour who might be a good diy man and help get things done far cheaper?

Flat Eric, don't worry about the fact that you won't be able to put specific amounts in each week, just pop what you can in when you're able. It's not a race but we do all give each other encouragement to simply save all we can, you'll get t where you want to be - just don't panic. :)

Have a good week everyone, wrap up, keep safe, healthy and ......saving! :D

Sue x Anyone else wishing to join, please say the word, you're most welcome. :xmassmile

    Hi all,

My cocoa pot is still not decorated but is sealed and jingling with some silver coins now :)
  • Thanks for the warm welcome all. :)

My lovely tall tin was duly sealed last night and had a slot cut in the top. There was already some pennies and a few shiny silver bits in there from this year's poor attempt at saving odd change, so I've left them in there to go towards this year's target, and added another 30p or so from change around the house. I spied 20p in 5p's on hubby's bedside cabinet this morning and warned him they'd be disappearing if still there tonight!

A weekend full of £2 coins so a total of £12.20 went into the pot last night, getting a bit overexcited about this (£12 a week means £600 a year means.... just need brain to stop getting so far ahead of itself!)
