  • WOW some of you lot are really going for it!! Im not yet at the stage where i can put £10 in in one go, and notes ~ well you'd have to break my fingers before i could let one of those go ~ but give it time :rotfl:

I have chucked a fair few silvers and a big golden one in today.

Did really well on the carboot sale yesterday £165 :D alas its needed for cars MOT work

I fear my hidden tin as been discovered by either the kids or OH, its currently in the cleaning cupboard, where i felt sure it would lay undistrubed, but when i went to feed it this morning things had been moved around it, yet no cleaning has been done by the others

Do i "come out " about my Sealed tin, i think OH is getting suspicious anyways as i keep picking pennys up of the floor while where out shopping :o Having him on board could be a real asset to my challenge, but hes also quite high risk, and may get tempted to open it.

I think i'll find a new hidding place for my main tin, and i have a piggy bank i can use and i can transfer from piggy to main tin say monthly, Does that sound like a good plan ? :T

  • I emptied my purse of change last night - didn't count it but there was 1 x 50p a couple of 20ps, 10ps and 5ps. There was also between 10p and 20p in coppers. All gone in my sealed tin (coppers in demijohn).

I know in the past week I also put in a £5 note, so perhaps best part of £10 so far.

Hi misskaytee and well done with your carboot sale money. It may have needed to go out as quickly as it came in, but at least you have it to pay! ;) Don't worry about not being able to put anything of greater value in too often - I rarely can either! :( All of us save what we can when we can, just be happy with what you're able to save, that's what counts! ;)

Regarding you pot, it really does sound as though it needs a more secure sealing - a safer home too! Why not keep schtum about your bounty and surprise the family next Christmas with what you save. :D

Good for you both, Georgiegirl and skilly.

Try and settle into it SaverT, though it sounds as though you're aiming well, now that can't be bad. :D

DFSD - you actually WARN hubby about picking up money if he leaves it hanging around????!

Don't worry about the decoration of your pot honey, do it as and when you wish to.

Hiya Ruby! :hello:Good to see you hard at it.

You did well either way, emiliah. ;)

See you all later, have a lovely day.

Sue x Anyone else wishing to join, please say the word, you're most welcome. :xmassmile

Yes- thought I'd better ease him into it gently Sue! It's the first and last warning he gets! :rotfl:Also told him that any laundered money (ie. coins I find in the washing machine!) will be confiscated and no longer returned - he's been warned!
