We're going to Krakow, I've always wanted to go since I was a kid, I want to visit Auschwitz as I've seen so many documentaries and read so many books about the atrocities that went on there, I want to see it for myself.

My sister went to Auschwitz on an A-level History Trip, she said it was the saddest place she had ever been to but she was so glad that she had been. We went on a trip to Ypres and the Somme when I did A-level history and that was a different kind of eerie I think.Moving on upSPC #382 ~ £40 banked

Just home from my overtime shift. £1 in the pot. Feeling guilty as I spent £1 at work on a can of coke and a cadburys caramel, but it was a rubbish shift and I needed a pick-me-up!
It's not my house so other than the washing machine I tend not to need to use anything in there - I very rarely need to iron anything - which makes it one of the list of rooms in the house that I almost never use (inc the dining room, and living room), but I'm sure when I have my own place if I have a utility room I'll love it, lol. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Hello everyone
I've had a NS weekend, so no opportunity to put anything into the pot for me from shopping change etc. I got my car back from the menders on Friday though & decided to scour all its nooks & crannies yesterday, just in case. I found a total of £1.09 & a manky opal fruit; the former is now in my pot.
I bought one of my final Christmas pressies last week and the item I wanted had been reduced. This sort of thing doesn't usually happen to me so I was really chuffed. I'd already shopped around & compared prices, so thought I'd done well, but to find it had been reduced was even better. It was only reduced by £3, but that went into my pot when I got home.
Still stashing my savings by taking part in the December work lunches challenge; this month's savings will hit the pot on 31st.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend x0 -

Good to see you DD, something else here to keep you motivated now!larmy and Alan are here too as well as others from QS that were before you, but keen to save just the same. Well done DD!
Hello everyone and good to see another 3 conscientious savers! Sorry to have not been on for a day or two, but a bit under the weather. Hope everyone's well, kiddies too as we approach Christmas! :j
Thanks for your Secretarial skills once more, sparky ....ooooh you are good for a fellar! It sounds as though Auschwitz is going to be an amazing experience, but so very, very thought-provoking. A place to leave you with the thoughts and sympathy for so very many as well as wishes of all things good for the future of all.
All the best, LC on planning ahead for your 2011 debt-busting strategy. You should achieve a lot if what you saved this last time is anything to go by.
Very well done, Doingmybest, it's good to get a bargain and 'pot' the difference. Keep the eyes peeled for others.
Very well done EVERYONE on keeping hard at the savings, keep that up throughout the year and you'll have some great savings to look forward to! :j
I'll be back later; for now, be good and keep warm and safe.
