    Hi Palema
We're going to Krakow, I've always wanted to go since I was a kid, I want to visit Auschwitz as I've seen so many documentaries and read so many books about the atrocities that went on there, I want to see it for myself.

    Sparky x

Not been to Krakow but I do know a few people who have been and said its a fantastic place to visit as it Auschwitz.
I hope you have a great time when you finally go

£3.50 in the pot today. Hopefully more tomorrow.

Had a bit of a mishap in my kitchen last night - it's quite old, but very well put together, so I've never really thought about updating it since I moved in 10 years ago. However I pulled the knife drawer open and the front of the drawer came off in my hand. Started to look closely at all the other drawers and realised they are all on their last legs. So my Tin of Hopes and Laptops may have to be renamed to my Tin of Kitchen Units and Laptops. It's gonna have to be a pretty full tin by next year :o

I worked out that if I want to save £500 for next xmas then I need to save about £10 a week into my sealed pot. I've just done my weekly emptying of purse :j following a raid on my OH's wallet earlier. I kindly relieved him of some of his silver shrapnel :rotfl:.

I've probably put at least £20 in the pot today. I won't be able to manage this every week - I just need to ensure that the minimum I save each week is £10 so that I hit my target and can go shopping with my £250 guilt free next year and buy myself something really nice :D ME thinks a nice winter coat since I am making do this year with a coat I bought back in 2003 !

Its quite exciting actually :D. 5p coins go in my coin counter pot and everything other than coppers goes in my sealed pot so I think if I keep this up, I will have a nice surprise next year :j

My sister went to Auschwitz on an A-level History Trip, she said it was the saddest place she had ever been to but she was so glad that she had been. We went on a trip to Ypres and the Somme when I did A-level history and that was a different kind of eerie I think.

Not been to Somme but hope to one day but have been to El Alamain in Egypt - still erie but a friend of ours who was with us said if it hadn't of been for that war he wouln't of been here, apparently parent's met as nurse and soldier pen pals and so had a more personal reason for his visit - lovely end to a sad event.

Only 50p in the pot today - didn't get any 10,1,2.5p's so chucked in 50p as really feel guilty not putting anything in. If this carries on should hit my target!!

Have a good week all! x
At least the fish fingers are still frozen, that's what I keep telling myself (Truly Madly Deeply)

Fishcakes - that's so true, first time I went was on NYE so you had families lighting rememberance candles and we really noticed no sign of birds etc, very erie.....:(

Can i ask... why no birds?

Scrap to be added to the pot from my 2nd night out this year! my friends paid for my meal, i put £5 towards the drink (we got 2 fishbowls of cocktails and shared, they where great and we even had a good bit left in one when we left!) i paid £6ish for taxi home, so know i have change, but i havnt went near the bag yet.
