Fellow potters, I have exciting news - I have filled my first pot! There I was, happily feeding my pot a nice supper of 5ps from my purse, when suddenly the clunking stopped! I managed to force feed it a bit more, but now, after much juggling and wiggling, it will eat no more! So it's off to town tomorrow to sacrifice a single shiny pound for pot number 2! How fitting, exactly 5 months before the big opening - will I be able to fill a second pot!? My first pot isn't huge, but boy, does it have an appetite! I'm so excited!
Hope everyone else is managing to keep their pots satisfied - don't be disheartened if your pots are a little peckish, though, just feed them as much as you can, and wait for the day when they finally decide they are full!
I can't wait for pot graduation day to see how much my little pot has eaten! Keep saving, potters, we're doing great, and I think we're gonna smash last year's ginormous total by even more! Hi Cazzie and many congratulations on filling your 1st pot!!! :T I know just what you mean about the excitement you're feeling, isn't it just fantastic! However, you're cutting yourself off of a whole months savings as we've still got 6 months left to save in!:dance:So, yes you can get another pot full!!! :j I love the name of pot graduation day, it's a good'n!
Of course we'll smash the grand total…... If we don't then somethings drastically wrong or folk will have stopped saving…and that can't be right not with my super Savers!
Great going with your total so far mummytogirls, keep hard it.
Well done on your collection from your dryer jakes-mum, a great lesson there are folks for always checking the pockets - before you put close in the washer!! Glad to hear young Jake had a lovely birthday.
Great going Lee-anne, you're doing brilliantly.
Good to see you back again Doubtful Guest, I can understand what you mean about the difficulties in saving if you're shopping on-line as my DH and I used to do that as we live in the country. We do go to town more regular now so cash is easier to come by, all I can advise is to just save by any means you can and as regular as you can. All the best for a fairly good haul by the 1st of December.
Lucky you with the vender, Decluttering! keep checking it out.
£2.50 in the pot for me yesterday.
Have a lovely day everyone make the best of the good weather if you're able to and keep safe.
Sue x

Whoops, I obviously got a bit too over-excited there - thanks for noticing my mistake, Sue! Apologies for chopping off a whole precious month of potting there - indeed, pot graduation day is 6 months away! I've just purchased my second pot, and christened it with the 1p change - I think I've got another one with a big appetite though, cos it didn't seem completely satisfied!

Hello All

I have noticed that since starting the challenge I seem to have very little change, but haven't been spending much to get any so I suppose I won't. Off to check a few pockets.;)1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

74p in the pot today after a clear out of my change
after stumbling across the 'things you never thought would sell on ebay' thread I was pushed into ebaying action and now have £94 in my paypal account! sorely tempted to take out £50 and pop in in my pot, but I also have a bet running with DH that I cannot do entire extended family christmas for £100, any gifts/cash that is haggled, earnt through means other than wages/benefits or won is not counted toward the £100 so im torn between potting and using it for free christmas presents! ohhh the dilema! :rotfl:
