Hi everyone - please can I join? I already have a terramundi pot bought for me at Christmas last year, but haven't managed to put much in it, so thought it would make a nice starting point for this year!

Hi all, can I join your challenge please?

I've been doing the virtual pot challenge for much of this year, and managed to save lots of pennies without even noticing, so thought that I'd go the whole hog in 2011 and do the real sealed pot challenge too.

I have a tin in the kitchen that I randomly drop change into occasionally, so I will use this and hopefully do it every day from now on. I'll be needing a new laptop by this time next year, so I intend to use the money towards that, all being well.

I know what you mean about dictionaries, they're no good unless you can spell the word in the first place!

As for Harry Houdini, you will see from my location that I am stuck in a 1970's time warp..... I remember watching a film about him with my Nan in the 70's, when I was an anklebiter, & seem to recall that Harry was his first name. Again, I could very well be mistaken, I usually am! x

Thanks for the reply, well whether you've spelt humungous correctly or not, this is the way I'll spell it from now until I know otherwise , and the Harry Houdini thing, well why not? It sounds feasible, it has a certain ring to it.

Well done to Everybody for the amounts you're starting to stash already,December is usually the month that 'every penny is a prisoner', so it's doubly well done. (And I saw that phrase on another thread and think it's brilliant - so I'm pinching it :rotfl:)

Ahh, Blakesmummy, that is a wonderful thing to do for him, well done. :A Please, whatever you do, do not smash the Terramundis as those who sell them would have you do - in order to keep their cash flow flowing. Use a knife, tilt them on their sides and get ready for a thrilling time!
