    Hi guys,

Welcome to everyone new, I'm impressed how the pages are adding up with tremendous speed!!

Been shopping today and came back with a £10 still in my purse, so I figured I hadn't spent it so I'd better save it. Folded it up into a wee tight square and popped it into the slot :D

I save into a brown box someone bought me and was thinking (when others posted about what they used) that I'm dead glad it is solid and I can't see all the money sat in there. Just imagine how tempted I would be if it was visable.....but its not so all is well :A although coppers are saved into a milk bottle which is obviously see through, but in their case I like seeing the size of the pile and I can never be bothered counting them till there is loads so they also won't get spent!

Also for the closing date try:

"Remember, remember pot ends 1st December"

    AND for the next one:

"Remember, remember pot starts 2nd December"

I'm almost like Keats..Wordsworth and the like.... I missed me vocation and am off to bed before they take me away. :rotfl:

Hi everyone, newbie here, I'd love to join you !

My large coffee jar is nearly finished (might go and make a cuppa now just so that I can get my 'pot' ready :p) and I've already got a few pennies I can put in.

I'd like to set a target of £300 (£100 for each of the kids) for next year's Xmas pressies :D.

This challenge is just what I need

Well after all that, it turns out that my mum had 5 £1 coins that she was able to swap me for my £5 note! So that has now gone in my sealed pot, along with the leftover change I found earlier today, that is an extra £6.15 in my pot this week :)

EDIT - I know what I'm saving for now! My sealed pot is now also known as my "10 Year Passport Fund". If I have some money left over it could also go towards my provisional driver's license but I don't know if I'll be wanting to learn to drive in a year, I've not got the motivation to do that at the moment. But it would be great to have a passport, it's crazy how much I miss out on without proof of identity :)
    Thank you competition posters!

A tip perhaps for services rendered maybe, Georgiegirl.......:rotfl:;)

I'm going to have to render a lot of services to get to my £300 target, not that I'd mind after all, every penny counts, but the opportunity is a little thin on the ground at the moment.

Although I'm sure "wants pennies for her pot" would attract some interesting responses in a personal ad!!!!
