Am not sure I'm following this challenge very well as I only have £1.30 in my pot however it is making me budget a lot better which has got to be all for the good right? I tend to only draw cash out when I know I need it and am not spending it the way I used to. It just seems to go constantly on bus fares for my daughter!

Is it not possible to get a weekly ticket for your daughter? I have done this and it works out cheaper and better!

Not really. She only takes the bus home from school when she has stayed late for play rehearsals (at the moment three times a week) and two of those nights MrM was able to collect her. If she was regularly riding the bus I would.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Sue suggested having a seperate bus money pot - that may work for you :p

Hubby just returned from the post office for me (body just wasnt allowing me out the house ) and I heard a very heavy thunk go into his tin so I reacon the crafty begger has nicked a quid out of my change for his pot  Then gave remaining change to miss lily who happily popped it on her gadge (which we had tried to decipher half an hour ago and it turned out to be her cash register :rotfl:) and ive had to spend 10 minutes wrestling it back off her for my pot!

Compromise was mummy had to sit and make her money for her gadge out of paper, so 24p now safely in the pot, though think i need to use a knife on hubbys pot to see if I can get that stolen quid back :T

Six Pounds in the pot today. Haven't put any in for a while but then I haven't been spending much either so there's two ways of looking at it I suppose!
Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
    And we were young.
