Silver - you HAVE to be joking about smashing your pot to get at the money???!!

For all those with Terramundi pots: Don't give companies who sell them the pleasure of smashing them come December! To remove contents; sit at a table, or on the floor and tilt the Terramindi up and on it's side and gently let the money move to the slit and, using a knife, jiggle it out the the knife end. Believe me, you'll so very quickly get a knack for it to gently fall out (sometimes gushing). From then on and by gently tipping the pot a little more you'll be having a ball and the excitement builds up s much that you won't want it to stop!

Sue x Anyone wishing to join, just ask, you're more than welcome, it's never too late.

Ooh, Sue thanks for reminding me! Was getting so carried away with my hammer, didn't stop to think how very un-MSE that was of me!! :o

hi everyone and welcome to all the Newbies. I think with all the new people saving 2011's count up is going to be HUGE :T

Not been on for a while - swine flu, hubby in hospital, dog put to sleep etc etc so havent been out a great deal.
Have been adding some coins to my pot though although not a big amount, will have to remedy this over the next few weeks.

I did get some money back the other day off a utility company - it was almost £50 this was destined for the pot but then had to pay for my dog £53  Oh well what I never had I never missed or something like that.

Sorry to hear that Billie-jo - why does rotten luck always happen in groups? Having said that, you sound remarkably reasoned about it all :)

86p in the pot for me today donated (by that I mean forcibly removed from jeans pocket) by dear hubby last night after he returned from the O2 arena in London where my darling son was singing with little voices :D.

I didnt get to go due to health  but hubby took his ipod and recorded what he could for me and they are selling the DVD where they guarantee that there is a closeup of each child (all 8000 of them ) hubby and gran were sat directly opposite son and his school choir so they were really lucky (some parents were phoning their kids mobiles to get them to walk down to the balconys on the higher tiers as they couldnt see them :rotfl:)

Sorry to hear you couldn't go jakes-mum, sure you were there in spirit though, and you've got the DVD to look forward to! :)

Only shrapnel in the pot today, but had a massive unexpected windfall with some old gold I sent in to Hatton Garden (after reading SJP's post on here). Thought I might get around £250 for the stuff I sent in, but didn't realise there was a load of 18ct gold in there as well as 9ct! Ended up with £435 deposited in my account today :j:j:j Now just need to decide how much goes in the piggy...

Hi sparky, oh did we just love that joke! :rotfl: That'll be travelling around the World in a minute and there will be smiles on a lot of faces. As nu1isit?says it's one of those that you keep remembering the main line of way later and giggling away. Just told it to hubby who laughed like mad....shan't tell you what else he said....but I slapped him!!!

Hi Billie-Jo, so very sorry to hear of all your recent events, bad enough singularly but to have the lot so close is hard. I hope your hubby's soon home and well, so sad about your 4 legged friend, such a sad loss.

That was so sweet of your dear Nana, nickynoo, bless her......

.......your Nan too for your Birthday, Amy, best off in the pot and they'd be first to admit it.

OK, nu1isit?, what the blazes are you up to now? Right then, so I'd guess it's a case of will he bother or not? Possibly not so I'll throw down the gauntlet and put you to the test. It's not a Santa Claus like sparky's Wright one is it???? NO! Surely not. See, I'm not thinking dirty...more work of art!! :p Not sure now whether to look forward or get ready to wince.

Oh jakes-mum, what a rotten shame you weren't able to be there to see it all first-hand, to not be able to see an adult loved one is bad enough, but when it's one of your little treasures it's awful. I hope your DH got it all and there will be a DVD.

Silver, it wasn't me viewing it purely from an MSE way, it was the thought of you having bought a pot you liked then turning it to DUST...only to do the same next year! Never listen to the words of companies who just want your cash over and over - [STRIKE]swines[/STRIKE] rotters!!

    Well done Palema. :)

Aww..jacci45, it's not bad at all - a darn sight better than possibly have been squandered! Keep hard at it and times that amount between now and what's possible til December and you won't be doing too bad. How about that for incentive to save. :j

Sleep well everyone and dream yourselves into even greater saving modes.....we CAN do this and become wealthy!!! OK, then in our dreams, but.......! ;)

Keep safe and healthy tomorrow and get well all those who are poorly. :)

about £13 odds in my pot and a lovely crisp £10 note in my sons, bumped into that generous uncle of mine in town, and he gave my wee one the tenner to buy a sweetie :o he's only 1 year old, so it went straight into his pot!
