  • I've used the jar which had golden syrup in, which I used for my christmas gingerbread....I have washed it!!
Bet that took some cleaning - that stuff is like glue! I remember trying to wash out a treacle jar once as a kid... gave up in the end! Pretty can to collect in though! :D

  • Have popped a five pound note in my tin tonight, I figured I wont miss small amounts like that - It was gonna be a tenner but I'd only have to withdraw it from the bank tomorrow as I'm off to a pantomine which is £7 so the change from the tenner will go in the pot tomorrow aswell :)
I'm gonna be shaking visitors upside down as they come through the door here, anything that falls out goes in the tin :D

I've just realised what people mean by roadkill! I've always picked 'roadkill' up, I've always been known to be able to find it quite easily! found a £20 note once & my other half found £10 on the floor the other week! I'll have to keep my head down! ;)

Put another few pence in today whilst attempting to tidy kitchen in preparation for my 93 year old uncle to visit, it makes a nice noise when I shake the tin now!

Oh, I just loved what my mind's eye visualised there, VintageBrat.!! :rotfl:

It may make a nice noise, janeawej, but I hope you're not intending to shake it when your 93 year old uncle visits, are you?! Oh strewth, I hope I haven't put an awful idea into your head!

That's it, kochi1, keep it going in there. :)

Have a lovely day everyone, keep on saving and for those unsure roadkill = money found on pavements etc.

  • Please count me in for this challenge. This WILL be the year I sort myself out. I have too much to live for to spend my life in fear of checking my bank a/c and waiting for bailiff letters.

I have a little tupperware tub with bits of change in under my bed. That will start me off nicely until I find a 'sexier' pot lol. Will count it in a bit and post it in my sig and then I will feel like I'm really on my way. Target? ooh I'm not sure say £235 which if added to the £365 from the 365 a day challenge will give a nice £600 for Christmas next year. And if I make the £11000 challenge Christmas just could be in the Bahamas :j ok ok only joking. Christmas will be spent in the costa del north east but with a few more debts paid.

Good luck everyone and much love
