salski- i wouldnt use coinstar it take about 8% of the money you put in :O

your bank would take the change if its paid into your account.. or even local business' would take it off your hands as some banks charge them for change..

That was my thinking about using them with large silver pieces - I should maybe get some coin bags when the tins are opened.
Thanks for this - Really x

Ha ha! Starting to think the poor DH's of people on here will be needing a charity naming after them soon - PPDHSPC - Pocket Protection for DH's of Sealed Pot Challengers!

Fortunately for my DH, I haven't found him yet! :p But when I do, he will be expected to make up for all the years of free pocket protection he's had. I'd better find a wealthy one!

£1.60 in the pot for me today. :T

  • Afternoon all,

Not been on for a while as I have been away for Christmas - My mum lives in a small village which means I havent been spending so no change in the tin since Christmas Eve.

Am off to the shops tomorrow as I have nothing in so will have some change then.

Hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas and everyone is looking forward to a happy NYE and alot of coin saving in 2011
    Moving on up :o SPC #382 ~ £40 banked
    12k in 2016 #15. £541.91/£3000
  • I added another £28 to mine to take my pot up to my £31 for December as i'll be opening it on the 1st. So my true sealed pot savings can officially begin in January.
