Hello
Can I join please? Think it will only be a few coppers for the forseeable future but hopefully by spring I'll be throwing in the shiny £1 and £2 coins!:jPay off as much as you can in 2011 challenge - £359/£10,000
sealed pot challenge no 1144 - target £1000
January 2011 work lunches challenge no 15 - 16/190 -
Made my pot today. It's a Pringles tube with the lid super-glued on and a slot cut in it. I'll probably cover it with Xmas paper to remind me what I'm saving for.
I was given an unexpected £20 note yesterday so that's gone in to give me a good start, and I've taken all the coins under £1 out of my purse, the bottom of my handbag and under the sofa cushions, for another £4.75.Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j
OU student: A103 , A215 , A316 all done. Currently A230 all leading to an English Literature degree.
Any advice given is as an individual, not as a representative of my firm.0 -
Hello, can I join please?
All the talk about this SPC on another thread made me have a think about rejoining. I'm aiming to save up for a pair of Dubarry Boots and pay saved cash for them around Oct/Nov next year and not use the CC at all over the next 12mths as I attempt to pay them off.
This is for a long term investment pair of boots and to pay cash for them and work hard to save up for them for my birthday in Oct next year
My plan is to save £20pm for this and open the pot in either Oct/Nov 2011 for £220/£240 total
ETA - I still have a number from before! No 356 target as above
£20 is in my bagpuss purse that is my sealed pot alongside the £2 jar, 20p jar and 50p jar and copper jar
20p jar is nearly full so that can go in when its cashed into notesfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
A warm welcome to the thread, xrestrictedx and cuppatea. It's good to have you with us, have fun saving.
You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 3 of page 1. Please read through posts 1 & 2 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. NB. Please pop your number on your sig, it helps so very much. NB. Pots are emptied on 1st December 2011, thank you.
xrestrictedx, no worries about being too late on here, it's never too late for anyone - you just can't deter savers!
Lovely to see you again Ruby E and well done on the £12!!!
So sorry to hear about your little treasure, *Peaches*, I do hope she's soon much better.
Take it easy, *Yorkshire-lad* there's always tomorrow.....New Year even, though I doubt they'll last that long!
Not to worry about amounts *DD*, the main thing is that you're putting cash in.
Ahhh, that's great news, *JoeyGrey* and well done on your loss!!!! Enjoy your day...your meal too. Trouble is with me at present I can't taste anything due to the blasted cold I still have and how it's affected my sinuses. I'm not saying I begrudge everyone eslse their enjoyment of Christmas goodies, but ....... I'm lieing at teensy bit!!!
Very well done with your Pringle Pot, *heretolearn* , it sounds good.
Stay warm folks, there's a darn cold wind down here. Keep safe and healthy too....saving 'n all!
Sue x Anyone else wishing to join, say the word, you're most welcome and it's never too late.
My "Bold" isn't working so I've put asterisks by people's names to denote who I'm talking to. Hope it's ok for you all. Hello there, fedupandskint (Sorry, I must have missed seeing you earlier.:o):hello: It's lovely to have members come back to the fold, and as you noted, you already have your number and there's no need to re-join. It's difficult to know if non-returning members have either stopped saving (with us) or, I often ask myself - are they now quietly saving by themselves. Therefore it's lovely to have folk like you return to us. All the best with your boots and don't forget to save next year too, as there's always something to be saving for! Where are we being talked about then??? Though i guess it's all over the site as you'd expect!!
I wonder if Martin has a Sealed Pot??? Possibly not.
PS. I've updated your target.
Excellent bargains there, jakes-mum!!! What did the kiddies think of their bikes?? Thrilled to bits I'll bet a bob.
Go carefully if you really are off to co-op mummytogirls.

Absolutely thrilled with themi wrapped them both up and Lily wouldnt open hers until jake started ripping the paper off his and she realised he had a bike, then you couldnt see the room for wrapping paper as she ripped it to shreds to get inside :rotfl:.
