fishcakes - So sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. Somehow losing somebody dear is extra hard at Christmas. Your words are so true - we none of us know when our time will come & we must live for today. You are in my thoughts x
  • Didn't spend any of my £10 miscellaneous budget this week, which means that I haven't had any change to put in my pot!

Did find 20p under my desk on Friday though, bringing my total to £26.19. Hopefully I'll get some change to make it a bit more at some point.
    Thank you competition posters!

Fishcakes - really sorry to hear about your friend, hugs to you all.

Managed 26p in the pot today - rugby tomorrow afternoon so probably end up with more change for that pot that looks like its begging to be filled up!
At least the fish fingers are still frozen, that's what I keep telling myself (Truly Madly Deeply)

    Hi All
Id like to join this challenge If I can!

Not sure if i should be saving all change or just £1's etc
I work in Asda, and I spend sooo much money there - always buying something everytime im in, so this year im going to limit or budget and look at what I spend

I live at home with my mum so always buying food for both of us, then she pays me back for her bits, and never do weekly shop
I usually pay on my card and more often than not get cashback which always gets spent as I dont really budget

I have a tub of change from 50ps to 1ps I have had for a while and empty now and again (Last count was around £65 which i sorted in bags and put in the bank)
So not sure if I should have 2 pots - smaller change and another £1+£2's (Which I wont touch)

Have to pay £1.60 parking a day for work too so always have loose change in my purse or bag etc too
    Make £10 a day Challenge June - £170

, your Target has been updated, all the best with reaching...or exceeding it! :)

Commiserations to you and to all the loved ones of your friend, fishcakes. What a deep loss at such an age. Very true what you say about, you just never know!

I bet your DW will have been glad to get home after working, sparky. I know there's the saying of "well, somebody has to do it", but I believe all workers deserve the time off that everyone else gets..and what they deserve. Yes, there are jobs that have to be done, but shopping just ain't necessary, not for that short a time! No doubt your Mum treasured your company. ;)

It's marvellous to see you all doing your utmost to fill your pots no matter what the day is...signs of some really serious savers here! :money: Very well done folk! Keep saving as you have been and next December 1st you'll be THRILLED to bits!!! :j

DH and I had a wonderful day with our Son and his Wife and our lad comes back again tomorrow when his Wife needs to go to work.

I heard a few pence in DH's trouser pockets earlier and insisted he lightened his load - 58p for the pot and an NSD!! ;)

Have a lovely day today folks, enjoy it and keep right on saving!

Sue x Anyone else wishing to join, please just ask as you're most welcome.
