Hi I recently split up with my partnet of just under 3 years
during this time i went home to live with my parents to go bankrupt, now I was living there with my partner for about 2 years alough she was claiming as a single parent (not bothered about presuing this)
now i was paying 645 for all bills ( no morgage on the property).
I was thinking the bills where a little too high for 4 people 2 adults and 2 children for a bungalow as she said i wasent even paying half,, she did not want people knowing i was there because of my bad debt.
Now since then I have amased 3950 worth of debt to my partner (not loans just personal debt to my partner) for holidays and days out ect,
wich added up over the years and because she thought wed be together for ever it dident matter i had for ever to pay it back, just wondering if i have to pay this back now and what to do about the bills that I was contributing too to see if i was over paying?
Thanks
P.S everything was in her name and her dad owned the house which she was looking to buy off him (long story lol)

Sounds like she committed benefits fraud AND ripped you off/saw you coming.0
-
so what do u suggest i do?0
-
You owe her nothing, you gave her £645 a month but you would have to be a complete idiot to not realise she was committing fraud but i suspect you knew all along.0
-
she worked it all out as she was an accountant so i just presumed it was right, and they say love is blind lol0
-
So if she was an accountant what was she claiming as a single parent?0
-
well out of work just setting up her own buisness so no income apart from mine she did have about £!40 comming in from a part time at a local supermarket0
-
So you went bankrupt and then lived with a woman commiting benefit fraud and you amassed more debts! You ask if you should pay your debts off. Why break the habit of a lifetime?0
-
the debts are owed to her so no loan compines0
-
should i get legal advice??0
-
i think if you give your head a wobble and grow a pair you`ll be fine0
