I got a similar email! I now have a fantastic weekend planned:

Weekend Getaway to London: £37 for two people. Am well chuffed!

(Obviously the weekend won't only cost £37. Have to get from Bradford to Leeds and around London, and eat and things, but still v impressed)

Make sure though that you all have alternative arrangements if your hotel is overbooked on arrival or may be get ready to sleep on the floor or to spend the night in your car.:eek: :eek: :eek:

Arriving into London around 3pm so I reckon I'll be sufficiently early to get my room. Maybe I should book a "JUST IN CASE" megabus back home!

EDIT:- Anyone got any ideas of some free/cheap things to do in London that make me look really thoughtful (not stingy tho lol)? Example: romantic walk in Hyde Park vs. queueing for six hours and selling three limbs for a walk round Tussauds. Anything similar to this on a Fri/Sat night that anyone knows about?

I would definitely try and do business with such a company that have respect for itself and its employees. They obviously don't run their business based on the principle of utter complacency that others seem to have and are completely proud of.

A little 'tip' regarding these £15 rooms. Wether you get offered them at £15 or not at a particular lodge on a particular date seems to be a bit random to me:-

Last night I checked a lodge in Manchester which showed at £39 per room. Viewed other nearby lodges then returned to the original which was then showing at £15 per room. It let me put the room in my basket but wouldn't process my order. I closed down my Internet Explorer then reopened and returned to the Travelodge website. The room rate on my chosen date was then back to £39! I decided to leave it overnight, went back a minute ago and they were showing again at £15 which this time I managed to book.
Persistence pays! yippee.
