Watchdog is an insidious insult to our intellgences... even those who have so little by choosing to watch such a programme.

Personal opinion, but there are already too many reasons for people to be downcast about the world without an extra 30 minutes a week, refined through a 'smug' filter and served with three sugars.

Other companies may indeed overbook, but it is how you are treated when overbooked that is the question

Airlines are very generous

Travelodge are not, even to the point of making you travel another 50 miles to another travelodge with no apologies or compenstaion etc.

You can book your room before the 6pm start as i have just booked a room at £15 for January and it would not allow me to do this earlier today.

I am aware of a swinging meeting at a Travelodge in the next few weeks, but I dont think they will be worrying about overbooking they will all be in one room.

Now that's odd. Before 6pm, I was able to find rooms in London for £10 a night (didn't show up on a supersaver search, by the way - just searched London for specific dates and the £10 rooms were there). Now it's gone 6, those same rooms are £15 per night. Damn!

Thanks to the OP. I have just got two nights family room in Brighton for the dates I wanted for £15 per night.

We stayed before on the last £10 offer in Cornwall & was great.

Just booked 3 rooms outside London (Heston) for £15 a night for 27/28 Apr 2007, six of us going for a London weekend. I dont know where the "between 17th December and 21st January" comes from but thanks anyway.
