  • I'm new to this, but an experienced forumite elsewhere - what a GREAT idea! This is just the incentive I need. I don't use make-up other than lipstick but I keep being tempted by different moisturisers. I need to use up what I have.

One thing I have noticed is the amount of moisturiser that gets left in tubes -I use nail scissors to open the tube up plus a small polybag to put the opened tube in and keep the contents sterile. Doing this I've got a whole extra week out of my moisturiser.

I always use a polybag for my cut tubes too! :T

Had to come on here and post as i went onto one of my old beauty froums just to say hello to a few members and promptly got sucked into the "I want to spend lots of money on beauty products". I even went to a site and put a heap of things into a basket, then quickly remembered my long term goals and closed the webpage and came here. I have been so good but sometimes the devil on my shoulder is very convincing:o

With most tubes I just cut them across the middle and then slot them back together one inside the other and this usually keeps them ok for the week or so until the last remnants have been used. I have done this for as long as I remember. DD always gives her 'used up' stuff to me and I usually get at least a few more uses out of it.

I know, - don't worry, I'm going to sit on the naughty step and think about what I've done (and I promise I won't be thinking about all the lovely frangipani showers I'm going to have :rotfl:)

A couple of IN's for me today but at no cost :j
Model Co Luminosity Highlighting Serum. Never used any Model Co stuff so no idea if it is any good? Anyone got any feedback on them?

Christina Aguilera Royal Desire scent - the smallest freebie I think I have every had at 0.075ml!!!!

Also not washing hair until tonight so went to refresh hair this morning with my boots dry shampoo but it was refusing to schooosh. Still some liquid in the can but it is not coorperating. Will let it sit for a bit then try again. If its still not spraying I will have to bin in but I hate doing that knowing it is not finished.

  • Hello all,

One UU for me this morning: Clairol Nice and Easy Perfect 10. This is the 2nd time I've used it, and I think because my highlights have grown out more, the colour looks much flatter and more yellowy. :( Although I love spending £6 rather than £60 on my hair every 6 weeks or so, once I've got a bit more money, I'm going back to the highlights.

A regretted In this morning too. I was buying some Soap and Glory minis to complete an xmas present, and because I've never tried any of the brand before, I kept the free Hand Food (3 for 2) for myself. Just opened it and the smell is absolutely awful! My friend raves about this stuff but it's far too sickly for me. I think I will pass it onto her. I was thinking about buying the S&G OOTW next week, but assuming the rest of the line is also scented like this, I'm going to give it a miss. So actually, it has saved me £20! :D
  • Evening ladies, another uu to report - clarins extra-firming night cream 30ml, this was a gwp and I wnba as I found it a little too heavy and greasy.

also can I please have a small rant? DD had spotted a BS gift set in a magazine which she thought would be a nice christmas friend for one of her schoolfriends so in true mse fashion I bought the Telegraph to get the £5 voucher, then took DD into Body Shop only to be told by a very apologetic salesgirl that the voucher couldn't be used in N Ireland - I was really cross at this!!!,
    ok, rant over
