finished off a linx shower gel on behalf of OH, well i decanted it into the other one that he had started. What is it with OH's that they won't use the whole bottle of anything up, he just leaves dregs or a few days worth in the bottle, from drinks to shower gels. At least it's another container down and in the recycling bin.
i'm on the last splutterings of a nivea deodrant. which i'm not sure about but i've got another can so will have to use it up first.

I've just used a sample sachet of Avon Luminosity Serum and run back to the bathroom to get it off my face very quickly! OMG that burned :eek::eek:
I've always had fairly sensitive skin and have been using OCM since July and the improvement is amazing in the condition of my skin....however since not putting any nasties on my face for 5 months I seem to have become more sensitised to products with "things" in.
I'm still OK with Olay it seems, and my trusted BS Carrot Cream so I'm sticking to those from now on. I've found what works for me and my poor skin and I've learned my lesson. Stick to what you know!
  • A couple of ins due to my rash that I suspected being an allergy to perfume or showergel that has spread down my neck and body! I think its probably more a viral thing as I have had a rotten cold and sinusitus but just to be sure I have got some Sanex hypo-allergenic showergel and deodrant.

A UU aquafresh whitening toothpaste WIBA - no I am not buying any toothpaste with whitening as it was burning the inside of my mouth. Hubby used this one up.

A UU Bayliss and Harding lime and Coconut handwash WIBA - Yes I class this as a nice affordable version of Molton Brown, they smell fab and dont dry out my hands! I am now onto a Cherry and Fig one.

Also UU Boots No7 Blemish care serum WIBA - Yes as it does keep the blemishes at bay but I have a stack of other moisturisers to UU first!
  • I have a couple of UU to report;

a sachet each of head and shoulders shampoo and conditioner to soothe scalp - WIBA Not really convinced think one is as muchness of another in the H&S range, and I do now love my Tigi i think it will take a lot to sway me - or until my 2nd best John Freida becomes another brilliant glitch :rotfl:

the remnants of a pink grapefruit BS scrub WIBA im still not convinced, its a bit wishywashy, the lemon was nicer, but both left me with a film on my skin IYSWIM

an asda shower gel (a pink/cream creamy one - i'm inclined to say cashmere but i can't remember!) WIBA yes its a really nice one this - feels much more expensive and luxuorious than a 4 for £3 range :rotfl: very moisturising, an expensive scent - clean but not overpowering, and I didn't mind this at all!

Hope everyone is well girls :) x

I'm oil cleansing and thinking this too, although have never considered myself to have sensitive skin, but had a Clarins mini facial a while back and skin felt a bit stingy with the cleansing/toning/serum products she applied (which I don't usually use), and tbh it's putting me off having another, preferring to keep the cleanse regime as simple as poss, especially as it is so effective and ££cheap££!

Heyy ladies, a quick check in from me. Only one use up - a travel sized nivea deodorant. Good, but had to go shopping for a replacement in Switzerland, and I can't believe the price! Ended up just getting the cheapest one I could find, and I'll stock up when I'm next back in the UK.

I've been struggling with shampoo a little recently. In trying to get through my stash I moved on to an Andrew Collinge shampoo, from a blonde range, which promptly made my hair feel and look really dry! I used it a couple of times to be sure it was the shampoo, and then had to give up on it. Sorry, but I just can't use that up on my hair! I'll clean makeup brushes and the bathroom with it instead :)

I then moved on to a Vidal Sasson shampoo for colour treated hair, bought ages ago in a salon, and my hair improved immediately, hurrah!

But then hopped on a plane to lovely switzerland, bringing my new bottles of Tigi Rockstar shampoo and conditioner. I though they were a failry safe bet as the Dumb Blonde range is amazing for me, but the Rockstar stuff just isnàt suiting me as much. It's ok, but my hair is getting a little dry again, and the only thing keeping it in check is the Elasticizer I brought with me (:smileyhea).

So I'll bring a bottle of the dumb blonde conditioner back with my next trip, and think about shampoo... I don't feel too guilty about using the Rockstar stuff up as shaving gel/handwash etc, as they only cost £5 for the two thanks to Roshy's great pointer on ASOS! :)

Any they are fine in the meantime, just not quite as good for me as the dumb blonde range. Ah well!

Oh, and one of my absolute favourite liquid eyeliners is about to run out :( I might have to ask for a replacement for xmas... :D
  • Hi FIXX - apart from the  prices have you settled in OK?

One UU to report here - John Frieda precision foam hair colour - WIBA? - Probably not. The foam was extremely easy to apply, which was nice, and there was plenty in there for my shoulder length very thick hair, but the colour came up a lot darker than it appeared on the box and it also stained my scalp badly - to the extent that I had to use cleansing wipes to shift the staining. On the plus side my hair is lovely and shiny, and the colour is nice and even, and although darker than expected is actually fine for me. It's good, but in no way would justify the normal £9.99 price tag - mine was the freebie that a lot of us got a while back.

Why not email their customer services about this? They need to know. You won't necessarily get any dosh back but at least you will feel a bit better :A

I really like that idea so will do that. Just did that about a J20 12 pack I bought where one bottle in the middle hadn't been filled. It was sealed and the packaging wasn't damaged. I emailed them the product line as I am sure lots would have been effected. Today they sent me £3 in vouchers which I wasn't expecting. Only paid £4.99 for 12 bottles!! Nice.

A small UU for me Sen Cleansing foam freebie. It was years old and don't even know if it is still being made. WNB as I have found Elemis and Clinque cleansing products which I like more.

Hello ladies, hope you're all feeling good today :)

fixx, hope all is going well for you in Switzerland so far xo

Bronnie and sofababe, I use the OCM before showering (not in the mornings, I just use BS cucumber cleanser and a pad as it's quicker :o ) and I too love it. :)

mcculloch29, I tried the hairwash tip last night and it really worked, so thank you!! It felt like a treat to be brushing my hair thoroughly before a shower as well, took me back to when my mum used to brush it when I was little. Very therapeutic. :)

    Three UUs for me yay!

    1.
Clinique Advanced Stop Signs Eye - WIBA - no, it was a bit too thick tbh. I can't remember what I paid but am sure I bought it pre-MSE so prob full price (£23)!

    2.
Clinique All About Eyes - WIBA - yes, it was lovely, but very expensive, so only on a glitch! :rotfl: Cost: £22 again pre-MSE *faint*

    3.
Body Shop Hemp body butter - WIBA - NO!!!! Horrid smelly stuff! It does feel nice and rich, but the stink really puts me off. I tell you, it was hard trying to use it up! :( Cost: about £2 on a glitch :rotfl:

So, that's £47 into my little savings pot, eek! Off to update my sig. See y'all soon xoxo
