isn't it strange, sometimes all you want to do is finish something, clear some space and declare a U/U, but being good MSE'rs we open the tubes and get a load more use out of them!
  • Lol, I cut open my handcream about 2 weeks ago and there's still a good inch left in the bottom! I'm now obsessive about cutting anything open, which is verging on dangerous with the really thick plastic aveeno bottles! :rotfl:

A throw out rather than a UU but tbh there wasn't much left anyway - the freebie Cowsheds lip balm, I've used it for a couple of days, didn't find it overly moisturizing on my lips but this evening I realised they were feeling quite tender, when I got home I realised that my top lip is a bit swollen and redder than usual - the lip balm is the only thing different I've used, eaten or drunk today so I've binned it and will be going back to my stash for another chap stick.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Still plodding through my stash but thought I'd drop in to say that I have finally used up all the handwashes that I'd piled up. I'll need to buy one next week for the bathroom, the first time since last year!
I've also had to start buying deoderant as that stash is now used up too.
Just a few odd bottles of shampoo & conditioner left, but lots & lots of bubble bath & shower gel ...and body butter ...:o

Morning! I do have to confess to the IN's I expected from yesterday - paid £1 + Telegraph voucher for a BS shower gel (sweet lemon - smells gorgeous) and 72p in wilkinsons for a bubble bath, although I may yet talk myself into that going to someone as a stocking-filler type christmas pressie as I have masses of shower gel and there really is no reason whatsoever why I can't use that in the bath as well! :o

Rosemary - hope your tooth is feeling well and truly on the mend by today.

Next time I use my S&G body scrub it will be finished - I did put The Scrub of Your Life on my xmas list though so fingers crossed....!

  • Wow - your NY trip has crept up a bit hasn't it - bet you can't wait! I used to like Sephora too - there was one at either Lakeside or Bluewater and I got al sorts of useful bits and pieces, the best being a little set of 3 x tiny miniature tweezers - ideal for keeping in a makeup bag or toiletries bag for travelling. No way am I carrying my Tweezerman ones about with me but those mini ones are excellent!

Is your site in Stratford "The" site by any chance? when I was working for Kiers we had a few bits and bobs going on there but thankfully never very much - good job too with all the hassle involved in getting stuff in and out! Hope the meeting goes well anyway, although I'm not certain whether you want me to cross my fingers for you to not miss your stop, or not....! :D

Even worse....it's the shopping centre :rotfl: it's going to a beauty when it's done!! I decided to be good and drive down as the current shopping centre (the only place to park) isn't the best with choices so I knew I wouldn't be tempted. They do, however have a Poundland and 99p store next to each other, and I still managed to spend c£40 in them both! Some toiletries but nothing major to report, some toothpaste, and a tanning gel from malibu to see if it is any good (i will bring this to america and leave behind if rubbish - will also free up some space in the bag for goodies :D ). It really has crept up, im starting to panic a bit now, i always get myself worked up before a holiday for some reason.

Sephora at Milton Keynes was like my home from home - I didn't realise there were ones in Lakeside/Bluewater - probably a good thing though :rotfl:

Have a good day ladies x
  • Thanks Roshydoshy! I look forward to hearing how you get on. :) Hope you have an amazing time in NY - I bet it's fab just before Xmas.

Enjoy NYC Roshydoshy - shopping heaven though don't think you will be an :A.

Thank you! I've always wanted to go but couldn't decide on a time of year so Christmas sounded like a good choice - I'll be heading to FAO Schwartz and playing on the floor piano like in Big and pretending I'm in Home Alone! Big kid at heart!
