  • Well definitely not a NSD for me today but that was expected. Had to have my nails done (my little luxury - it doesn't break the bank as it is a friend who does them) and my OH treated me to a spray tan as I am looking incredibly milk bottle white mainly due to not getting away this year.

However, tomorrow and Friday will be NSD days as we leaving for Newcastle Friday as we fly to Tenerife on Sunday so we will be looked after by MIL!

Hope everyone is having a good day :)

I remember me farver making rissoles from left-over meat & some boiled spud--bit like fish cakes I suppose--& he used to be in charge of the mincer as it was an old, hand-crank jobbie that only seemed to work for him :o

No more to add - yesterday and today both spendy days BUT I am very pleased with todays bargains :) ....after discount and some coupons I only paid £11.98 which was less than the reduced price for the toy - one very happy chappy at my little bargains today.
That sort of bargain cannot be passed up & I don't blame you for taking full advantage! I get ridiculously chuffed on the very odd occasion when I 'beat the system'; today the shelf label had one price per kilo & the one on the chicken said another so I asked a staff member to have a look. "Oh! So it does!" she said & promptly reduced my bird by 97p :D

My nsds reached adultery yesterday after reaching 18 & we're going to celebrate this evening with a little drinkie-poo as I'm not going anywhere tomorrow! Shall we say all round to mine for a mid-crimbly/ noo yeehar candlelit swarrey 5:30-for 5:31 BYO booze? Oooohhh yesh; Hyacinth Bookay has nowt on me *sniff & tap barnet around ear 'ole with palm of hand *

Can I join in please? I dont want to spend any money for the rest of this year! I would like 10 NSD's in January, had to go to the feedstore today as we ran out of corn for the chickens but managed to get home without buying anything else! And that was the only money Ive spent since Xmas eve so Im feeling quite pleased with myself!

:naughty: Oh dear, loveGSD, we dont use the f-word on this thread :shhh:. You have achieved 60% of your target, when I was at school( in the olden days) that was a pass!:T
6 NSD'S are still an achievment - dont look at how far you have to go, instead look at how far you've come!;)

    Well said, jinty:j:j:j

    Hi loveGSDs:hello:
Don't beat yourself up about it, be proud of your 6 NSDs, that's quite an achievement for December. Most importantly, if you're having a bad time, don't avoid us, we'll help you get through it. There is loads of support available from everyone here (and we're quite good at adminstering kicks up the bum as well:D).

    Take care

    Hi janeawej:hello:
Yes, of course you can join in, everyone's welcome to the nutty NSD thread, sense of humour required:D.

Do you want me to add you to the front page for the last couple of days of December or would you prefer to start afresh in January? Even if you decide not to join in for December, you're very welcome to post here and join in the chat/ask questions/whatever you like for the rest of December.

Good to have you join the gang

I do remember writing a sort of Guidelines thing but can't find it, even though I went back to August :o so if I forget anything, you guys jump in OK? I'll edit & then when we've got it right, folk can copy & paste as the Thread goes along.

    NO SPEND CHALLENGE.

    1. Have a good, long think about what YOU want to include in your Spend & Excluded categories.
Some of us count everything from Direct Debits & School expenses, while others do not include things like essential Bills or emergency medical costs. If you plan what is or is not a Spend for you now, it will help you decide on a realistic Target.
    2. It is NOT a race!
We all have very different demands on our time & bank balance, so please do not think you have to buy everything on 1st January & make it last till 31st December! A few of us have been following this Challenge for a long...long...LONG time so have developed plans & ploys to help us along the way wink2.gif
    3. Most important of all, WE..DO..NOT..FAIL!
Sometimes we can't quite reach our Target, but that is fine :) Everyone knows how Life will try to trip us up, & that is when you will find us here to help you back on to your feet.

There are no silly questions so don't be afraid to ask us anything!
