No more to add - yesterday and today both spendy days BUT I am very pleased with todays bargains
Sorry to repeat myself (for those of you on the CG thread aswell) but
I saw great gift for a friend's son (will be put away for his birthday - £39.97 reduced to £12.97) so I picked up some more heavily reduced items aswell.
I got 2 packs of 2 salmon fillets for 60p each,
2 packs of chunky cod fishcakes for 17p each,
2 packs of 4 malted baps for 16p each,
500g minced lamb for 49p,
8 pack of sausages for 30p,
500g parsnips for 15p,
lamb steaks for 60p,
4 round slices of lorn sausage for 19p
a whole swede for 8p
but after discount and some coupons I only paid £11.98 which was less than the reduced price for the toy - one very happy chappy at my little bargains today.
Wow... great bargains elf06, you'll be rivalling Cheryl for the whoopsie bargain of the year:D:D

Good morning all, from a foggy Edinburgh!
Just reading through the posts - lots of targets being met!
Elf06 - well done with the bargains, I just love when that happens!
Kerri - I'm with you on the NYE feeling. I hate that "forced jolliness" feeling of Hogmanay. That's a terrible confession for a Scot!:o
I love New Year's Day though! We go to my inlaws and there's a big family gathering of four generations and assorted aunties uncles, neighbours, kids. It's all very good natured and we have a big meal and usually a bit of singing, if someone gets the guitar out;) We have a good laugh and a bit of banter. This year will be the first without FIL and it will be very hard because he loved New Years Day with his family. We are all just going to rally round and have it anyway, as he would have hated it if we didnt go ahead as usual.
Today probably will be a spend as I need bird food so I am off to £stretcher for that and then the library.
Will be reporting back later,
Have a lovely day everyone:)

Well I'm glad to say that I almost managed a no spend day yesterday .....
I dropped my DD to town and was going to pop in and spend some of my christmas vouchers and boots points but the queue for the car park was ridiculous, not to mention I would have had to pay the £1.00 car park fee, so I decided to drop her off outside and went to the retail park instead. I got some shoes in next for £10.00 that I've had my eye on for a while and since I bought them with a voucher I'm not counting it as a "spend".
Thought I had done so well then I remembered I spent £6.85 on amazon to top up a voucher I had for christmas.....
Have had to buy petrol and car oil today as both lights came on and I had to drive to work, arggh!!
I am going to have to get a couple of bits for the weekend or we will run out of food so I'd better do that today as I'm determined to get 2 NSD's for Dec!!Debt £31,184.05 - DFD - Jan 2015!!!Next target - Barclaycard £1000.00/965.29PAD from 20.12.10 ~ £1318.29NSD Challenge ~ Jan 10/10, Feb 10/10, March 10/13£365 in £365 Challenge ~ £120.06Sealed Pot Challenge member #11540 -

Hello Spoon et al
Just nipped on to declare another 3 NSDs over the xmas period - taking my total to 13 please Spoon.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
As predicted a spend day, but a low one.
Got my bird food, got to keep my feathered friends happy;) and bought cheapo car mats for OH's old Saab. She's kept going faithfully through all the snow etc so I felt her carpets needed a bit of TLC.
Topped up my bread and milk at FF then went to the library to pick up my reservations. So excited about my pile of books, all ones I've had my eye on for ages and all FREE!

6 NSD'S are still an achievment - dont look at how far you have to go, instead look at how far you've come!;)

Eek about 1000 posts to catch up on while I've been away for 4 days. I hope everyone is well and had a fabulous christmas.
I have a chest infection at the mo and feeling absolutely vile (if anyone can remember Gilbert the green alien that about sums me up at the moment :rotfl:)
On the plus side, another 4 NSDs going on my total for 24th, 25th, 27th and 28th. I'm guessing I won't be rushing out to go shopping for quite a while, today I had to pop to Aldi as we had literally nothing apart from leftover christmas chocs which I shall probably munch through today, must keep my strength up0
