Afternoon all
I can declare my no 7 NSD! Far too cold to actually go out today, we still have snow in rural Lincolnshire but due to the freezing temperatures it is now completely frozen solid. And due to these awful temperatures we now have frozen pipes and can only get hot water. A plumber is apparently coming out around 4pm.....
On the plus side my wonderful OH booked a last minute holiday to Tenerife on the 2nd January without Isobelle though. She will be spending a week up in Newcastle with my OH's family (grandparents, great-grandmother and aunt & uncle). Feel awful as she will only be 2 months old but my mum said it would be good to have a break and spend time just with the OH. She also made a point of telling me that I am still recovering from major surgery and the rest will do me good. Isobelle does need to get to know her Geordie relatives and it is never too young!!
Well tomorrow isn't going to be a NSD as I do have to venture out of the house for a few bits and pieces but nothing much.
Hope everyone is having a good day despite the weather!

Hugs all round I think, if only to keep us all warm!!!
Not much snow on the ground here, but have had freezing fog since yesterday morning. The trees and plants look sooo pretty!!! I tried taking piccies, but they haven't come out well at all. Will try again tomorrow. Here's one half decent attempt of my silver birch:
Been busy baking today, made 5 Xmas cakes...two of which are wheat-free and still in the oven! I have also made more chocolate and beetroot brownies...DS2 can't wait until the tray is cool enough to be cut up! I also made pastry this morning, so may well be making loads of mince pies tonight!!!
Also coloured some sugar to add to oats to make "magic reindeer food" to sell at a Xmas fair this sunday....it looks really good so far...the sugar has been drying out on top of the cooker all day...still some way to go!The plates of sugar look quite pretty don't you think!
Also, here's a piccie of my new curtain that I made last week for the kitchen back door. It's doing really well at keeping out the draughts, and goes well with the chimney!!
Right, off to have a lie down for a few minutes before rolling out the pastry!
Have a good evening everyone....and keep warm.
