    :hello:Hi 3Dogs
Good news about your mum but not about her mouth being so dry, that must be difficult for her. Are the doctors doing something about that to help her?:eek: to more snow for you, hope it doesn't arrive.

    Take care

Oh yes it did   at 11.50 pm

Mam has the artificial saliva spray but that is about it really :( She is on a fluid drip, into her tissue (stomach, thigh), not vein, and the area it is in becomes saturated so they have to stop for a day or two and then reset in different area - they have just done this, and I am sure the only other time they had to do this, Mam had the swallowing pain just after that as well - so just have to hope it will settles down really :( she will however, have some dryness of her throat aas she is drinking so little - we try to help by spoonfeeding her tea/juice and giving her things like ice cream which gives her some relief

:eek: to the toilet roll anxiety, Cheryl's just calmed down again, you'll start her off again:D:D
Cheryl thinks she's OK for toilet rolls (for about as long as she's OK for meals - possibly a few weeks longer, depending on DS and his visits home) :rotfl:

But even my Mum agreed that (given the abscence of a decent interest rate on bank accounts) stocking up on items that will be hit with the VAT increase is currently a good move ;)

    Good morning all!

Got #4 in the bag yesterday and I'm going for #5 today.
Back to work today, no trains running so it's the bus for me. It's a mile to the bus stop and the streets are treacherous. Our buses were suspended yesterday, so I emailed my supervisor to find out what the score was for today - the reply was " you must make every effort to come to work". I will leave at my normal time and I'll get there when I can IFYSWIM!
Any hoo, I'm all organised - lunch in bag, fares in purse, doglet's bag ready as he's going to my Mum's today. She is dogsitting, so he'll be spoiled rotten;)

Have a safe and warm day everyone:)

Hi all hope you are all well. I've only had a quick skim through of the thread and I see there are big love0047.gif needed.
Well our temps were down to -13 yesterday and you could tell sad0040.gif the light dusting of snow we had has now turned into huge sheets of ice and is proving hugely dangerous. DS and I only just made it to nursery (he fell twice, I slipped about 4 times although didnt fall and we got stuck in the middle of the road on a bend on a hill with a van travelling towards us scared0011.gif). By the time I got home an older man from across the road (who doesnt look after himself) had fallen in the carpark and was awaiting the ambulance sad0120.gif. Have had a quick look out the window this morning and every thing is very white (frost though not snow) not sure if this is better or worse than yesterday anim_59.gif.

As for NSD's well I am a little lost now. I was on 3.....................Sat was a spendy day because I got my top up (and the savings stamps from mum - even though mum gave me the money I am going to class them as spendy days because the way I see it is that its a lot of moneyand if she hadnt given me it I would have deff held out longer before going to the shop. I had no money so there is no way I'd have gone anim_59.gif), NSD on Sunday and then, despite the weather, I managed to get my shopping done yesterday. So I am now on NSD number 4 happy0105.gif

Well my parents and I are supposed to be taking DS to Glasgow on Thursday to take DS to a grotto (one that needed booked) and then to Xscape but judging by all the weather reports (and my fac3b00k friends) its not looking good. Three people I know had to turn back as the weather was so bad.

I need to do my scout post cards today and that will make it a spendy day so will prob make the most of it and buy my xmas stamps aswell. Have a good day y'all

Got to work eventually - left house at 7.45, arrived in office at 9.30. This journey usually takes @ 30 mins. Got here to find that said supervisor has decided to work from home, like she couldnt have let me do the same.:mad::mad:Buses were running but the traffic/conditions terrible. I'm rather cheesed off to say the least!

Beanie - so sorry you're cooped up for another day, it's getting beyond a joke, but at least we didnt have to spend the night in the car like the poor folk on the M8:(
