aw, thanks for the pics Beachbeth and Aussielass. Your house looks lovely - a girl from work has just emigrated to Australia, but will rent for the moment. I wish I had the guts!
Those cute little dogs look really sweet - my cats are too but the girl rips up the carpet (any ideas how to stop her?) and the boy brings back fieldmice as little presents for me. yuck!
DD3 has just asked whats for dinner - I knew I stopped working upstairs for a reason (and it shouldn't have been to come on here!) Taplady, think I'll diet tomorrow - some fast cheese on toast for lunch should be fine all round. Might put the BM on, I need some warm bread for later!
Anyway, back to it, see you all later xxIf you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0 -
Just popping head around corner to say "hello" .... and someone please confirm to me it is October isn't it???GC - March 2024 -0

Going out to lunch for the first time in a year in a minute

Afternoon all
Well I've stopped crying - just  As my DH so eloquently puts it I need to "get a grip" DD and I have just bought a pumpkin (£1.02) so we're practising our designs to see which one we're going to cut out at the weekend. Then we're going to make some cherry and almond cupcakes.
AussieLass - your house looks great - you must be really proud (now that's OS making your own house  - do you have the recipe :rotfl: )

Afternoon all!!
Haven't been on much at all lately. Been up and down healthwise, and it was my wedding anniversary last Saturday. Too ill to even go out!
Visit to Dad didn't help, it's such a strain. Now am trying to get house tidy, laundry up to date, and shopping in for DSs ready for going on holiday Thursday!!!! And tomorrow I've got my old folks Lunch Club, so got to go get a ton of veggies to prepare for that!!! I feel like a dog chasing it's tail - lots of effort, getting nowhere fast!
AussieLass house is looking great, you must be getting so excited now. Glad DGS has settled to daycare, and that you're recovering from your lurgy!:T
I have tried to skim as much as possible, but can't now remember individual woes/happinessses. Sorry:o
So I'll just finish with ((((((hugs)))))) for the sad/unwell and:Dfor those who are enjoying life at the moment.
See you when I get back from holiday, hopefully feeling rested and relaxed!! (Well me at least!)
Byee!!
PS Yes Zed42 it IS October!!!!You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
Hi everyone!
Thanks for the piccies...your dogs are very cute Beachbeth.
All well here in Aril land today. Weather is a bit on the grey side but have moved over to the indoors airer so my dark wash will be fine drying wise. Small person and OH have headed down to the free museum at Worthing this morning and are planning lunch on the beach if the weather holds.
Kedgeree for tea tonight [boiled eggs for it before I left] and then tomorrow my boss is treating us all to fish and chips:T :T
On the OS front I have cleaned the bathroom and am also trying a nice strategy with the small person to help him keep his bedroom a little less chaotic. OH spent an hour and half tidying it at the weekend and it's a pretty thankless task!! Instead I'm getting the small person to put away the 5 or 6 things he's left overnight on his floor before he gets up. Hopefully he'll then get in the habit and I won't have to waste my time nagging so much!
Other than a quick bit of knitting whilst watching Strictly Come Dancing OS will have to go on the back burner tonight as am off for a small sweet sherry with friends at a local hostelry:D
PS If I asked ever so nicely would anyone happen to know whether there are any Halloween smilies lurking about anywhere? Just thinking what fun I could have with those. I really am a sad person!! Little things please little minds and all that.!!
Have a great afternoon folks!
