This is more of a moan than anything else.

Checked all the BOGOFs I wanted that ran out today and went on a spree yesterday to get them. Only, I mustn't be the only person doing it! Most of me stuff was gone!

Gona look around to see if there are any other Tescos in the area.

    Morning OSers *waving*

I have an eye infection! I could feel it aching yesterday and true to form it's closed up this morning, so sore. And a bit scary driving into w**k this morning - where has my peripheral vision gone??????? Only here because I absolutely have to be for an hour and then I am off to the chemists to see id they do anitbiotic drops because they'll be cheaper than a prescription - I've had this before so hopefully there shouldn't be a problem.

Then off home to make a super uber list of countdown to my guests coming this weekend - love my lists, they always make me feel so much more secure LOL and seeing as how I have a memory like a sieve they really work. Whether I actually DO anything off the list will be another issue :D

Have a wonderful day everyone xx

  • Morning everyone (can't say 'good' as it is very grey and overcast and soggy out there).
Have dropped DS at his nursery - no half term for him. Am just catching up with you guys and a few emails and will then have a nice morning with just DD doing some crafty things that are easier done without DS poking around!
Am having a Tesco order delivered today as have been so busy at weekend and have to wait in for a parcel that I have missed 3 times already and my DH really needs. Meant I spent less as not tempted by other things and they had emailed me a code for £10 off as I hadn't used them for so long.
Lunch will be something comforting and warming (whatever DD chooses).
Dinner will be veggie sausage and bean casserole with mash
    potato.

((Hugs)) to all who need them.

    Have a good day.

Good to hear these more money savers out there, not so good for you though.:o
  • Morning everyone,
Sorry to hear lots of you are still feeling ill, SOMO1 chin up and try and enjoy your day, DH has no doubt forgot all about it and will be fine when he gets in - thats men for you!!

Taplady and shez - I need to diet too, complained about my knee hurting (from doing the twist! -not very well- at the 40th BD on Sat) and DH said it must be my weight and I knew what to do about it!! Maybe he'll choke on the sausage casserole (hope not really!) He nearly did on a chicken bone in my casserole yesterday! well i can't help it if the meats so tender it falls of the bone, can I??

Toilet still out of action, have to admit I've not done a lot about it, it's one less room to clean, isn't it. Can't believe someone else has the same problem (good luck Chipps - check theres no hole right through it making it leak - I didn't notice for ages! doh!!

My 2nd Asda delivery will be here today, gosh I like not having to go out, it's already mad everywhere, isn't it?

I'm going to set about cleaning upstairs today, need to clear the hall as the plumber/electric man is coming and hopefully I can have hot water/heating again - maybe I can just leave all and come to Cornwall or Norfolk with some of you, not fussed where! lol

Hope you all have a lovely day, take care xx

Hugs to all who are feeling under the weather.
I am shattered my darling 14 month son has decided that 8pm is no longer an appropriate time to go to sleep and nor is it nice to sleep through the night:mad: so I am shattered sa he refuses to go to sleep until 11 pm  and then wakes all hours:eek:  , has any one any ideas the odd night I can cope with ,but this has been going on for a week and I NEED SOME SLEEP, I hate being so tired and grouchy all the while.
Havent managed to get up the allotment yet this week, so must try to get up their today, but have so much house work to do, don't know if I will make it plus the weather is cr*p.
Sorry to peed off to be jovial today.

:hello: Goooooooood Morning, fellow OS'ers :D:D:D

My sinus' have finally decided to 'rid' themselves :j It means I'm sneezing every 5 mins but, hey!, means the bug is finally clearing itself out  :j

It was lovely listening to the rain early hours as I snuggled in my cosy bed, real Autumnal feel about it and after the threat of standpipes earlier in the year, I am grateful for all the rainfall we get so that the resevoirs can be replenished - poor soil has been positively *gasping*!
Don't mind it being overcast because that's when I'm most likely to enjoy traditional baking and crafting - or in our case, getting our backs stuck into the 'clear it up/clean it out' half terms

More decluttering today - by giving the lads the opportunity to make their own decisions on what to keep/throw/donate/trade it's amazing just how much they are willing to part with! Thankfully, it was bin day today, so yesterday evening I was able to get all the bags out and clear some space for the next lot :D

johannasmum - do you have any Vick's Vapour Rub/storebrand equivalent? Some of that blathered on your chest and back can help ease a tight chest, plus steaming some of it (head over bowl of hot but not boiling water, towel over the top and a few deep breaths).

Littlemiss-lotsofdebt - little old fashioned tip for you regarding your casserole dish. Instead of soaking/washing it straight after use,
1- put the lid back on and
2 - put it back in the oven overnight.
3 - Next morning, those stuck on/blackened/stubborn/welded on bits will come off like a dream in normal washing up water :money:

If you are still having a time trying to get it off today, and if you are using your oven tonight, pop that casserole back into the oven as soon as you turn the oven off and follow steps 1, 2, 3. ;) Don't ask me how or why it works, I just know it does! Last week we had pork and beans and the poor old pyrex was looking rather sad! Followed my own advice and next morning - voila! - good as new again ;)

((hugs)) for those who are unwell/disgruntled/feel dispondent/want them.

Have a good MSE kind of day

    :hello:Everyone :hello:

:grouphug: to all of you feeling poorly:grouphug:

Sun is trying to shine, need to put a load of whites on the line, got most of yesterdays washing almost dry, just 20 miutes in the TD and I could put it away, no ironing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bedroom, stairs, landing and bathroom in for the treatment today..... changed the bed yesterday so the dust has settled.........

Not sure if I reported re my water bill....... a chap came out last week and confirmed that we have a leak, Thursday a chap is due with a machine thingy that can tell them where the leak is, and then we will get it repaired. The Water Board have then very kindly said they will look into making us an allowence for the leak............. so kind of them!!!!! and in the mean time will suspend any action for payment..... what action?????????? all we got was a bill saying we had used twice as much water this year as last and owed them £202!!!!!!!!!!!!! so sorry chaps, but not me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have to send them 3 meter readings at monthly intervals before they will consider adjusting the bill....... think I'll go away for 3 months.... that will sort them!!!!!

Right off to get the washing on the line..........
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

Im just sitting here dreading the thought of even trying to open my sons bedroom door for fear of being attacked by toys and junk..

Im having a huge bonfire party soon so loads of stuff can go in the burning box, loads to Freecycle and some will go to local childrens ward that salvageable.., my daughter has got to clear every single thing out of her room ready for decorating.. her wardrobes and drawers are completely bust.. so they going for the fire as wood.. new ones ordered.. and Im hoping to sell her somewhat huge cabin bed in the local paper so i can get funds for a smaller single one..and various other bits she's asked for..

So thats my plan, just need someone to prise me outta my chair...

    Brekkie- toast
Lunch - Hm bread Rolls & Ham
    Tea- No idea!

Have a good day all.. if im not on by 6pm someone send for the rescue party...the bedroom monster got me!
