Morning All
Feeling much more positive today but the dreaded bug has got me good and proper, my chest feels terribly tight.
Off to w**k in a minute, tonight I think I'll proberbly be going to bed at the same time as dd so not much time for OS. DH is going for a drink with an old uni friend so he wont be in till late.
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
:hello: Morning!
Wet and overcast here as well but I shall soon have a pot of soup going and will set the bm off. Last nights bread and butter pudding was lovely and we had the leftovers for breakfast.
Very excited now as we are going to see Yes tonight, well Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman anyway! :j :j :j :j will be singing along with Mr Catz and our friends, bestman (30 yrs ago) and his wife.
Tooth pain is easing at last but have to go back in a couple of days for part 2! So still living on soft food. Fish and chips by the sea tonight so should be ok!
Need to catch up on some paperwork today.
Have a good day and hugs to those that are poorly! :grouphug:

Good morning everyone!
(((hugs))) to all those feeling poorly.
Actually, I say "good" morning cautiously, as it looks pretty miserable outside to say the least. I think the rain has finally stopped - now that I am no longer trying to sleep!
This morning I have finished the basic clear-up of the kitchen, d/w emptied & refill process started, surfaces wiped & everything put away. The only thing not yet done is the washing - it's washed, but still in the machine, waiting optimistically for the pleasant weather we have been promised for today.
Today I want to tackle the dining room, hall & living room: my project for the day. The downstairs loo is also included in that, but that is currently awash with water - at least the floor in there is, as there is a tap on the water pipe that is leaking, and there is a puddle underneath. DH found it a day or two ago, & had a go at tightening it I think, but I have been and looked today - the puddle is there again, so it obviously didn't do the trick. I think I'll just add some disinfectant & use it to clean the floor!!!!
Have a good day!0 -
Morning All! DH has gone to bed, so I'm having a second cup of tea in bed, listening to the radio, and surfing on here.
Intend to have another toy sort today, with more stuff to Freecycle. BTW, we've done so much Freecycling recently, that BBC local TV want to use us for a series they're doing next month on waste and how to reduce it!! :j
If the weather stays good, we'll go for a walk later. I've got tickets for me and the small penguins to see Macbeth at the theatre later. They've both read it, so are looking forward to it. I love Shakespeare! :T
Shez, hope you're feeling better today, hun.
Ought to get up and dressed. Have a good day,

Morning everyone and big hugs to all that need them.
Catznine - lucky you off to see Yes! Hope you have a great time
Joannasmum - glad you feel more positive today - stick to your own guns!!
Pen Pen - you will have to let us know when you are on the telly! Well done on the freecycling - I am afraid that I am a net gainer from freecycling!!
Well. it's w**k today, so will be 'flying' when I get in tonight.
Will be joining a local 'gym' this week. It's actually part of a local small hotel but the fees are so much cheaper than the David Lloyds/FitnessFirst types, so although I will be spending pounds, hopefully I will be losing some of the other sort!!!!!!!!!I went for a quick visit yesterday and there were some folks there having tea and bics that they had brough in themselves for a snack after their swim! will have to show them the flapjack recipes etc:rotfl:
B- HM bread + HM marmalade
L- HM spag bol (to heat up at w**k)
D- HM stew
DH away for rest of week, so able to crack on with the FLyLady challenge - my drawers are very clean and tidy today
Have a good one,

Morning Everyone
Just a quickie before I start nagging little people to get a move on
No slugs in kitchen last night. We set beer traps for them - but none caught inside or out. I'd rather have grabbed some of the b*ggers. however, no trails in kitchen. I got down on hands and knees and scrubbed floor with stardrops. Could be another use for the wonder liquid? Slug repellant?
Fish and ratatouille for dinner.
No OS lunch though - have to take us to cafe since this was DSs bribe yesterday to join in the tennis. It's one of his favourite treats!
take care everyone and remember to have fun"You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me." - C.S. Lewis0 -
Morning Guys!
Hope everyone is ok.
Good nights sleep here but have woken with flu type symptons again, so may have the dreaded lurgy coming again. OH has bought the super quilt down and made a bed up for me in the lounge:D ...need to have a shower first though as I only managed a strip down wash yesterday:eek:
DD has some HW to do this morning for about an hour and has to study for an exam next week. Her new Heely trainer thingys came this morning that she saved and paid for herself....so she is a happy bunny. Dont know how she will manage as she has no co-ordination at all
WM is on and will have another to do after this one has finished. House is generally clean and tidy and the toilet has been cleaned. DW will need to go on later.
OH & DD are popping out to Waitrose later as I have a ton of vouchers to use and need some staple items as well as veg and fridge food. Probably get away with spending about £10 after the vouchers or less;) and this will fill up the cupboards, fridge and veg box....and maybe a few treats as well:o
We're off to my sisters tomorrow which will be nice as I havent seen her in a while and will also see my folks. Although she and her hubby are up to their eyes in debt and spend money like water-she is a great cook and always has surplus supplies of HM cakes and biscuits:D She called me the other day and asked if DD would like a PSP as her main Xmas pressy:eek:    ....I said NO....thats too much and dont want her turning into a spoilt brat. Suggested a voucher or even some cash towards her school trip next year. I always feel bad at Xmas (well the last 2 anyway) as her and mum go so OTT its unbelievable! I carefully picked Nieces and Nephews gifts last year and spent no more than £20 on each, but they loved them and it was what THEY wanted. Oh well...we will see:o
Anyway, I have to go as DD has asked for scrambled eggs and she doesnt like OH's eggs:D ....well at least I can do something right.
Shez-How you doing mate? Hugs.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all
Just had *words* with DH about the way he speaks to me, and I'm sat here in tears, he's gone to work (apologised - but thinks he doesn't speak to me badly and I'm blowing it out of proportion because I've given up smoking  ). Trouble is now he's gone - I'm getting more upset as he probably didn't know and now he's all bewildered
Anyway rant over, made a gorgeous braised beef with horseradish potatoes last night - fortunately I made double so one's in the freezer
Tonight tea will be either ranchero or shepherd's pie - can't decide yet
Better drag myself into the bath and crack on.
(((((hugs)))))Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Morning everyone
(((((((hugs))))))) to all those in need.
I've finally given in to the cold/viral thing that has been tailing me for the past few weeks and have rung in sick, am hoping that plenty of rest will do the trick. I don't even feel like drinking a cup of tea so I may even lose a bit of my muffin top :rotfl: although I know fluids are important when you feel ill, so will shove them down.
Got my ironing done yesterday and all of the bed linen washed and dried and the spare sets on each bed. Mr LMLOD cooked dinner last night but left the dishes for me - the caserole dish is still soaking as I couldn't get the welded on bits off last night
B - 1/2 cup of tea
L - I'm aiming for soup but we'll see
D - Whatever Mr LMLOD makes
Have a good day everyone xxxIts nice to be important but more important to be nice!0 -
v quick post. As off to take in DH time sheet so we can have money on Friday.
Poor Stressedout Mum, wipe your tears and get on with your day. Be kind to yourself and have a nice chat to DH when he gets in.
Going to be fairly OS today, cleaning and doing something nice for tea. Poss spicy chicken casserole. In SC if I get back in time.
Boiled eggs for lunch.
Hugs to all
