D - Roast beef and all the trimmings
I gave the house a complete tidy and clean yesterday so i have very little to do today. next tesco shop came last night , so today i shall be making some apricot oat bars. plus i think i might try some treats from the o/s cheats treat thread.

Morning jcr16 and all who follow :hello:
An early start for me this morning too. Have been up since 4am, managed to do a menu plan and shopping list, type up my college notes, done the ironing, tidied the lounge and bought a couple of bits for some craft projects I want to do !
Am hoping not to be getting a phone call from work in the next hour as I should be off today but a colleague was not well at all yesterday so I said I would cover their shift today if they couldn't make it in. He will call in the next hour so fingers crossed
If I am not working I have a to do list as long as my arm, your arm and the whole of the OS board
Some plans include - hang new front door curtain, get more stuffing for HM draught excluders, finish tidying garden, go for a swim, food shop, cake bake session, more washing, pop into town for a few xmas gifts, visit library, start to tidy study and craft bits, clean out tea/coffee cupboard and cupboard under sink
Hope you all have a lovely day, snowy if you are reading and not posting at the mo :grouphug: and another :grouphug: to everyone else.
Have fun today and keep smiling

Oh my goodness! Where do you guys get your energy :j :j :j :j from to be posting so early in the morning and to be full of the joys of OS. I feel totally inspired but also know that once I get in from work around 3pm this afternoon, I will probably want a kip. I do need to crack on with a 4 week rolling menu plan to fit in with my shift work/ life and housework plan but am dubious as to whether I will have the energy or inclination. Here's hoping!
:heartpuls CG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -
Morning everyone
Another day at work for me today. I just can't be bothered though. With these dark mornings I feel like I am getting up in the middle of the night and don't seem to wake up properly until about 11am!
Have taken steak out the freezer but I dunno what I am going to have with them. Will through something together when I get home I suppose
My e-bay baskets arrived yesterday to make my Christmas hampers. I am quite excited about the prospect of putting them together.
Talking of Christmas.....on Sunday we decided to book a log cabin to go away this year. We did this last year and it was fantastic and very relaxing.
Anyhoo must go and finish getting ready.
Take Care everyone0 -
Good morning all!!
Well i just about survived my mad weekend. We arrived back from MIL late last night. It was i nice short break, The footy funday went well, we made over £115 for the kids xmas pressies/night-out, fred flintstone-My dh realised how unfit he was after playing the fancy dress footy match!!!LOL
Also boys results were cracking this weekend-ds1 won 3-4 moving them into 2nd in the leauge (unbeaten so far this season, which is great as it is their first season at 11 a side) and ds3 won 8-0 and he scored 5 goal!! SO PROUD!!
Right OS today, my house looks like a bomb has hit, so big clean up today, loads of washing to do, DH last day off he plans to hang two new doors and paint the front door. Also if rain holds off need to hoover the car out!!
Hope you all have a great day and hugs to all who need or want one!!

Good morning everyone,
Not feeling good today, still waiting for the antibiotics to kick in. Never mind, at least being half term i dont have to go rushing around this morning!!!
Have the little one and 2 older ones today, have promised little one we would do some cooking today so will get the bigger ones to help as well (and DD) DS is at his dads until this afternoon, when i have to meet them at footie practice. Assuming practice is on, that is, am hoping that it might be cancelled, but cant tell what the weather is like at the moment, its too dark outside!!!!
Also need to put a chicken stew going in the SC but that should be it apart from a little cleaning.
Hope everyone has a lovely day, HUGS to anyone who needs/wants one.
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Morning everyone,
Hugs to those that are feeling down/poorly.
A lovely day planned for today,we are off to my parents house in Norfolk for the rest of the week. We tend to stay for most of the week days when it is school holidays and we spent a lot of the summer there so the kids miss it. It is true oldstyle heaven, chicken, sheep in the fields, dogs running around, Aga to cosy up to, kids cooking with Gran, I always feel mean bringing the kids home because they love it so much and our life couldn't be more of an opposite. Anyway, I am looking forwards to getting there, putting my wellies on and going to find conkers with ds in their fields, there should be loads and at least I can guarantee no other kids have got their first like around here.
So no idea what is for dinner, should be something tasty. Leaving dh at home and he has pot luck from the freezer. I am going to take my knitting with me and keep working on my scarf for ds, ironing to do before I go, wouldn't want the sheep to see me with creased jeans!
Have a good day everyone0 -
Hiya everybody,
Been v busy the last few days with the house & DGS. I have my new computer tower as well so busy loading this and that on to it. Will post a recent picture tonight if I remember. XDIL was successful with her application for a house on the neigbouring island. She moves in on 3rd Nov so at least we have a time frame. Would have had DGS for 6 weeks then. It's been much easier since I shook off the dreaded flu.
Poor you Cat, I hope you can as well. I had to take antiboitics for my chest as well. My DSis & BIL are coming over on Thursday. BIL to give DH a hand & DSis to chat. She's making me a carrot cake tomorrow. She doesn't know it but I'm making her some lemon curd as she loves it.
DGS went for his second day at Daycare yesterday and was really good & plays very well with the other kids. :T
Well I better go and get his bath ready. Tea for tonight. Spinach Quiche & Apple Pudding & custard. Hope you all have a lovely Tuesday & (((hugs))) to those poorly. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning all :hello:
Me and mr troo are off work this week :T We're usually in Cornwall this half-term but master troo is working and miss troo didn't want to come because she'd be bored without her brother. I'm happy for master troo to stay here on his own for a week - he's very sensible - but NOT miss troo, she's useless  Besides, she's only 15.
We're treating it as a holiday though, that means no OSEverything has to be as easy and as quick as possible so we can spend all our time out of the house. Still money-saving though, everything has to be as cheap as poss. We went to Southampton yesterday to meet up with a friend, the idea was to see him for a couple of hours then wander round and eat salty chips by the sea and get some Christmas shopping done. He's really into history so we ended up driving to Portsmouth to look at old forts and castles in the rain  Oh well, at least it was free
Went to Cribbs Causeway on sunday, bought £117.95 worth of stuff, paid £13.50 of my own money for it :T Lots of free vouchers from mr troo's work and Pure Profile surveys :T Apart from toothpaste (BOGOF), deodorant (3 for 2) and a couple of sandwiches for lunch in Boots, it was all spent on me me meClothes, make-up (I went out to a wedding do a couple of weeks ago, bare-faced cos miss troo had taken mine out with her ggrrrrr. So I decided to buy more then hide it) and a legwaxing kit - my epilator has stopped pulling hair out and has decided to just snap hair instead
Just need to buy a strong box with a big lock so miss troo can't get into itBulletproof0 -
Morning all
