Car Stolen?

She deals with all this. I thought they insured the car not the plates?0

Did you not wonder why you never received a new certificate with the new reg number on?0

you got paid out from the 3rd party cover
did the guilty party with undeclared mods?
at tihs point the OP has undelared mods, the wrong number plate and possibly they will state didnt take sufficient care of the keys
car that hit me was a supposed to be a 1.2 corsa. turned out that the guy fitted 2.0l red top and window and body mods. i still had a pay out and he got a settlement through his insurers, he was local and had a curtesy car during the period his car was repaired.
but as to this post. the more the OP admits to more mods i.e the number plates etc the more i think different.
OP you changed the cars index and you didnt think to inform your insurers yourself and by telephone the other mods i think the insurers could have dealt with as they're dealer parts and give you a telling off but to change plates i think you took the preverbial biscuit with regards to your insurance, i wouldnt think that they would cover your loss.
just hope its burned up so all evidence to the mods are lost!0 -
OOPs so you had a car reg no 123 ABC and you had a insurance policy covering a car ABC 123. I would go on
http://www.askmid.com/ Stick your reg on and see what it comes back with.0 -

you would get a pay out
the 3rd party cover isnt affected by undeclared mods
however the guy in he corsa would have been a different matter if he was fully comp0 -
The OP has no chance.
Firstly the mods. The FOS take on this is that if the lack of disclosure was inadvertent they should charge the extra they would have charged and then pay out; if it was fraudulent void the insurance
This for me isnt the main problem; the main problem being the lack of care
Not a chance they will pay out
I find it worrying the insurer is speaking to the GF. Fronting as well?0 -
