I know. I'm getting that way myself. Was fairly laid back until today. We've turned everyhting around in 24 hours and have been ready to exchange since last Thursday. Now when it comes to it there are suddenly outstanding issues!
Our buyer needs to book her move to the USA and flights and international removals have just about run out for this month. I feel for them because they have 2 little girls who may not get to see their Dad over Xmas because our buyer's solicitor has been useless.
We'll see what tomorrow brings now.
Thanks Lynz0 -
Same here, exchange didn't happen for us today either. Buyer wasn't able to get his deposit sorted today, although he will get it sorted for tomorrow. Our flat has only been sold since September, so maybe he just hasn't had enough time.....grrrrLeilasmum0

Ive actually done a bit of packing today
Does anyone think Im being previous? Ive packed te spare room bedding and most of the spare duvet covers & linens?
I really dont want to be unpacking all of them at a later date:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

I would pack non essentials too. Better to unpack (which I hope you won't have to!) than pack in a rush!!!!
We actually started to clear the rubbish in our loft before we had our mortgage offer through. The way we saw it, it needed to be done anyway, so better we did it now rather than do it in a hurry nearer the time!!0 -
It wouldn't do any harm packing non essentials anyhow. I have thought about this but with all the bad luck I get I hate pre-empting it.0

We FINALLY exchanged last week. Seemed to take FOREVER with countless delays due to hopeless solicitors. Anyway, completing on 10th Jan so won't be in for xmas but hey-ho, more time for packing.
We:
Found our property - 22nd August
Found our buyer - 25th august
Made offer - 25th August
Accepted offer - 26th August
Survey done - 8th Sept
Mortgage offer - 11th Sept
Buyers survey done - 18th Sept
Search results in - 24th Oct
Problem No 1 - 23rd Oct (can't complete until Jan)
Problem No 2 - 27th Oct (landfill sites showed on our survey)
Draft contracts received - 27th Oct (returned due to error)
Draft contracts signed - 14th Nov
Exchanged - 12th Dec!!!!
Complete - 10th Jan
so it took 4 months to exchange and will be 5 til completion, felt like a lifetime!0 -
Lynz - pack the none essentials - you know you will be moving at some point, exchange is a matter of time. Even if it falls through you know you can sell it again in a few days!
I have work now then this afternoon off to finsh off the last bits of packing and do some cleaning.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0
