The lenders have been challanged, and in many cases refunded, the massive hike in fees as they cannot justify the increase.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. OK, fine, but if people challenge this, they will just go back to upping the margin.... - so we all pay all of the time, instead of if we choose to move - I prefer the latter, at least it's in my control then....0 -
We're also mad busy packing, hoping to exchange today after not exchanging thurs or fri. Solicitor tells me all ok for thurs, so removal men booked, boxes being packed, etc etc
Good luck for everyone else going thru this right now...it's a nightmare!!!Leilasmum0 -

The mortgage fees should be proportional to the costs involved, whilst I have no problem in paying certain fees that reflect the costs, I believe these fees are often unjustified, and a rip off, and are there for one thing to make more money for the banks and to prevent competition so that borrowers don't look else where for better deals as the costs involved detract from moving lender0
