Ive just had confirmation that i will have the keys to my first ever house tomorrow so im the happiest person in the world at the mo.
Keep the battle going everyone, get the wheels moving and i wish you all the best in getting the keys and moving in before christmas.
Watch out, you never know who is about.
  • Still waiting on our correct mortgage offer here

I'm so  at the Woolwich - it was their mistake - they've admitted it - yet they are still keeping us dangling for the offer to be amended to show the correct address.

Each day impacts on us giving the 4 weeks notice on what has become our rented hellhole. :(
  • Hi missbee and lynz,

We didn't exchange today... Got a call late in the afternoon that the lady our vendors are buying from, her solicitor was out of office and her colleague didn't want to exchange on her behalf! Whatever, they could have told us that earlier...

Oh well, missbee, I know what you mean. Our inlaws have kindly gone and ordered a fridge freezer for us today. Better hope we are exchanging tomorrow otherwise there will be a cheap fridge freezer on ebay soon. :rotfl:

I have to laugh or I will cry. Another sleepless night coming up... *sigh*

Good luck to everyone also exchanging -

As for me well i signed of land resistry form over so all done and dusted...

gettin rather annoyed as sellers side are holding things up now, was gonna contact seller direct but instead went to the EA asking him to chase them so we can start moving again - just feels like we are at a standstill..and solictor basically said not to hand in our notice, and that if sellers side do not pull their weight we wont be completing till jan :( If we do then we do, theres not much else we can do,

    good luck all

Well we should have been exchanging today, but I already know it is not going to happen. FTB at the bottom had to have her offer re-issued, it only arrived Wednesday, and her solicitors are drawing up the stuff for her to sign today, allegedly her father is driving 150 miles to collect it, bring it back for her to sign and then drop it off again, with a view to exchanging Monday and still completing Friday 8th. My solicitor (who is great) says it is so far fetched it might just be true. ;)

Might get an indication late today as to wether it will be Monday, if so mine will ask Northern Rock for the money ready for next Friday just in case. If it slips we have said we are happy to complete any day as long as there are a few days between completion and exchange.

Good luck to everyone else who needs it today - especially Lynz, dkny and angel.

    thanks for the luck Hex

Well Ive done the forms ( there was literally a handful of questions, my sol could have asked me over the phone!) whne do the bins get collected etc. OH is going to fax them back to my sols this am.

. Im fairly sure that theres nothing else. Apparently the buyer is raring to go.

So effectively it could be today  Can anyone confirm whether thats all it or not- (buyers side is ready theyve been waiting for me 7 the lease hold enqs that were back in yesterday PM )

Anyone know if anything else must be done before exchange?

Good luck and :coffee: to all that need it :D

  • I don't think your the only one pi55ing off your sol Lynzpower, after the last 3 emails I sent to her, I got a one line reply saying ok I've done it now :)

Looking at the steps on the sol website http://www.lawcommunicator.co.uk/conveyance/buyguide.asp I think I'm just waiting for the sellers sol now and then I'll be ready to exchange and complete cause I'm doing both on the same day (no deposit I'm spending that on furniture instead :) )

Just in case anyone is wondering stages 1,3,4 and 5 are done wahoo !!
