I have just scrolled through some of these posts, and including my problem(see my thread) which I didnt have yesterday. I have reached my opinion, that everyone is on the bandwagon to make money out of the buyer and seller; I mean everyone! This so called Goverment of ours are going to make it even worse with a Sellers Pack! We as sellers have to prove this; prove that! Is it worth the hassle these days? I never want to move again I tell you all straight after my experiences. No Im not happy, and can you blame me?0

yAY - We recieved a big package this afternoon from the solictors - it had everything from searches, reports etc etc and a forms where we sign but not date - is this the real thing where we actually are signing to buy the new property?? :j ...It also had the deposit (cheque) they want on exchange etc with the letter signed.
Now, the problem is our solictor is away all next week from the 27th, so gonna ring tomm and ask who will deal with our case while she is away, and also it states on letter that we cant exchange till they have recieved a letter from the company who deals with that area etc..so till this is back we can exchange prior to that, BUT again gonna ring tomm and ask about all this.. all looks good so far, but not gonna start packin just yet... good luck all

Yes Ive already moved, and not in the chain thank goodness. I just want rid of the other property, and if you read my thread " Selling Property / Rental 5 ft land rent" you will see my predicament! Im angry and so near at selling, and I was celebrating yesterday, so was EA! Now im out for a fight, because its the principle, why should people make easy money out of us?  :mad:0 -
Right, fed up with this packing now, it takes forever wish I had gone for the packing service now, any one else at the packing stage? Only half a glass of wine left in the Fridge and I can tell you thats not nearly enough!
This time next week it will be the unpacking thats the problem, but I enjoy that bit, funnny with holidays its the other way around.

Well we moved in in June, we have only opened the bare essentials at present. We have boxes in the Garage and upstairs to open. But we have had plenty of Building work as well going on before winter sets in. I am going to sort boxes out at my own pace, my wife wants it done quick, but Rome wasnt built in a day! My theory take life easy now you have had the rough part moving; enjoy!0 -

I'd rather pack than unpack. The place looks lovely and tidy. And so biiiiiiig!

Hi folks!
I wish I'd discovered this thread a month ago! We're having a REALLY stressful time trying to buy our first house...
Put in an offer in Sept. The sellers are moving to France and wanted quick sale, so we got all our searches, survey done etc... A few early questions (1 about planning/buiding regs approval on extension). Turns out that the boundary doesn't quite match. Anyway, got the boundary thing resolved, and now the sellers are refusing to get Building Regs Indemnity Cover (one-off fee of about £50).
About a month ago we had another viewing to do some measuring etc. and the sellers suggested a completion date of 17th Nov. I am now phoning my solicitor daily, but the sellers have done nothing abou the Building Regs Indemnity, and so we have no idea of exchange or completion date - despite the fact that we have signed all the papers and already given our solicitor the deposit...
It is so frustrating that the sellers seemed so quick to sell (and seemed shocked when we first [jokingly] said "as long as we're in by Christmas")...
Anyway, we're tring to push for Dec 8th to give us the extra weekend... but it is so frustrating knowing that there is nothing more we can do to speed it up...0
