Yeah and with the mega expensive delivery charge, it might still be win win for them :P0

They are on to it now anyway...........and I really really hope that some of those early orders get through. I suspect cancellation e mails will follow shortly. If people made moderate orders it would take them longer to get onto a glitch. People often take it to the extreme to see what they can get away with (like ordered 30, 40, 50, 60 things etc) and if there is an influx of that then that will flag up hugely!! I am not the retail police and do not feel the need to judge what people do. Personally, I have a "little go" if I get a few things great. Those that are braver and do a lot - go for it. At the end of the day, you will always get those that push it to the max regardless and I don't see the point wasting time having a slanging match on these forums with people getting upset with others ordering a lot.It has happened before, it will happen again and there is not a lot to be achieved getting upset about it and wasting time.
HOPE THOSE WITH EARLY ORDERS GET THROUGH THOUGH!!!
Youre right bluecow, a sly little order here and there and they may accept responsibility and we may all be quids in ....but i know if i worked there and saw some orders for £90odd worth of stuff for £4.95, id tell em to forget it, profit or no profit!0 -

Hehe, and every time the page takes a millisecond longer than usual to load I'm panicking that it's because the order has been cancelled!!No Buying Toiletries Challenge since 23/10/2011
OUTs so far: 111 :j0 -

But only they know what they pay to post the items out. Probably a heck of a lot less than the average joe as they will have negotiated to open their account. But either way they have all the knowledge and they chose whether to honour the orders.
Edit: They use Yodel for packages but royal mail for envelopes.... because they got a cheap deal with yodel!!!!
surely they wouldn't do that if it was not a winner for themselves???0 -
I really don't think they will let this slide....last time elc had a smaller glitch they cancelled the lot!!!0

Depends i guess, i mean i spent £12 on items and with delivery nearly £17, so thats £17 they wouldn't have got off me if the glitch hadn't happened, on the other hand for people who put lots of £5 and £6 items in so spending alot less and getting more, i guess they will lose out on.
If all these companies are anything like where i work, they sell things on at least twice the price that they buy them in for, possibly even more depending what it is. I also doubt that they pay as much to post items as they charge us so i think they would still be making money thro these glitches, but if they cancel them all then its nothing lost from my point of view:)0 -

Does anyone know how long it usually takes for the orders to be processed?
