  • You were conspicuous by your absence LameWolf. You've not missed much, it went like this; EssexGirl getting better, Molly back out of hospital but awaiting treatment, few kids' birthdays and Mr Bramble's too, JackieO's SIL birthday, moan, snow, moan, food, FBUK on holiday, meet up, few moans about OH's, newbies, sick kids, new telly for Noah, moan some more, and snow some more. There was some cooking in there too, and a couple of recipes for chicken stew, which won't interest you, and Bitsy moaning 'cos she never got any (snow, that is :rotfl:)! Now you're up to date :D

  • I thank people on this thread simply as a bookmark, so I know where I've read to, the same with other long running threads I try to keep up with, everyone else just gets a thank if I think they've been funny, helpful, or I was thinking the exact same thing. Some people *cough* bitsy*cough* are thanks tarts, and some are scrooges, and some couldn't care less. Just do what feels comfortable for you. :D And welcome :D

    Afternoon All!

It's been a few weeks since I last posted, life n stuff has just been completely hectic round here lately!

OH and I are in the process of getting a mortgage and have found a house but it's going to need heaps of work! It's an older house though and there's space for a woodburner so I'm excited!

No snow here just yet although if the weather reports are to be believed it's going to hit overnight and not stop til next Tuesday! Although it's absolutely freezing today and the skies are very grey so may start sooner. Here's hoping! :D

Due to all the hecticness of the past few weeks, our room and our little living room look like they've both been hit by bombs so after work I'm going to tackle those. I'm going to make a stew for tea...OH will need something warm, his car heater doesn't work at the moment so he's almost an icecube when he gets in!:o

Have a great afternoon all! :j

    Afternoon All,
Right let me get a few bits out the way whilst I can still remember who posted what! :D
Jackieg brilliant update, made me chuckle.
Joeck, I thank all the posts I read on here because every one adds a lil summat to my day, whether it's a recipe, a chuckle, the fact that I'm not the only one having a good/bad/cba day/is unwell & quite often the realisation that someone, somewhere is worse off than me. HTH & welcome.
Bargainbird (i think, brain gone already:rotfl:) could you point me in the direction of a pattern for those gauntlets please? Def sounds like something DD's would like.
Redruby birds fed & watered here inc 3 newcomers to the feeding area :) a pied wagtail, a wren & a chiffchaff.
Phew I'm glad that's done, my memory is awful these days.
So am sat here in tracky, long cardi, fluffy socks, furlined crocs and fingerless gloves having a 15 min teabreak from decluttering. On one of the other threads someone suggested 15 min bursts in different rooms so that is todays agenda. So far have done 15 mins in our room, 15 in airing cupboard, 15 in bathroom, 15 in dining room, 15 in
living room & 15 in utility room, the last one being so cold (3deg:eek:) that I had to stop for a cuppa to warm up before I start the rounds again. Ii has actually motivated me & I'm quite enjoying it lol.

Hugs to all poorlies & those in need x
    Best wishes to all x
    Keep warm x

    jaxx

ok I got it wrong!! butterfly brain could you let me have the pattern pls? (& possibly twos on your user name lol)
Sometimes not moving backwards is as much an achievement as moving forwards is on other times. (originally posted by kidcat)

It's only a bargain if you were going to buy it anyway!

At your discretion. I thank the posts on the daily as I like that people have contributed and not for the reaon in bold below :p
    Welcome to the thread :D
Some people *cough* bitsy*cough* are thanks tarts

Ya know Jackie it's very easy to go "off" some people ;):p

Am sitting here having a quick surf and some kitty bonding time as she's been on her own all morning. I don't have a cat I have a parrot as she's sitting on my shoulder  Keeping my neck lovely and warm but she keeps attacking my hair

Got a little bit of Xmas shopping done, boy did I miss taking the pushchair (left DD at my mums), had to carry lots of heavy bags :o
I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife :D Louise Brooks
