Greenbee and kazw big hugs.
Nicky hope you get it sorted soon. My sisters pump went on saturday and only got fixed last night.
I've managed very little today so far. My sister has told me she's not working again since before halloween . I've thought for awhile she's been out of work but not this long. Her hubby doesn't know and he's expecting a months wage in the account today. So sister has took out a loan for 28 days (i did tell her she's mad and just to tell him the truth but she won't tell him). Not sure what i can do to help, i've tried before but it doesn't sink in.
Right suppose i should go do something....Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -

Popped to OHs school with him earlier so he could sort some stuff out. His dad came out of hospital yesterday so we visited him on the way back, he seems a lot better now, thankfully. Meant to be going to a house party later but no trains are running here so not sure if we will get there. In fact Scotrail aren't running anything north of Edinburgh, hence not going to the Christmas markets in the end.
The powers that be have decided that it is not safe for us to travel to Cumbria on Sunday so I am off until Monday. Going to concentrate on downstairs tomorrow, upstairs on Sunday and hopefully have an organised house by the end of it and maybe some stars.
Has anyone had any post? Saw a mail van earlier but haven't seen anything for days.
My list for this week

I briefly saw an orange glow in the sky earlier and the sky itself turned blue for a bit! Shame it didn't do enough to melt the ice rink that is on the pavement and road outside my house!
MrsC - Happy Birthday!
greenbee - hugs; you know where I am if you want to talk / scream / shout / etc.! x
kazw - hugs for you too x
All furries have been cleaned out, towels and bath mats washed, washing up done and kitchen S & S, and bits and bobs of sorting and tidying done.
Will update list and see if I have made any sort of dent in it!"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

Greenbee - don't know what to say! Hope it all sorts itself and you'll feel better soon, too. Surely your OH must have realised by now that you are worth sticking it out for. Want to share my choc stash?
Kazw - What everyone else has said. OH's family are way out of order, taking advantage of you when it suits them. I hope he's going to be a bit more sensitive in the future.
Nicki - What a nightmare. Keeping my fingers crossed that it's going to be sorted soon.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes and cakes. It's been an ok sort of day so far. DS1 has filled 4 CDs with music for me and DH got me some nice silver earrings with Whitby jet - one of my favourites. Had a chance to talk some stuff through with my GP and a mooch around our small town centre with DS2 (co-op, baker's, papershop, Jack Fulton's and cheap bits-and-bobs shop). Treated myself to a nice christmassy mug for 99p.
Can you make rice pudding with risotto rice? (Sorry if that's a bit random.)
Also, the dining table is clear. I still need to scrub it and clear/clean behind it and under it, but there's progress. Just going to see friends down the road, then on with the clear-up. DS2's toys after the table is finished.0 -
afternoon all,
more snow and freezing temp - minus 8
Triker thanks for asking honey - yes feeling a bit restricted but nought i can do about it - plenty more like me! Unfortunately my neighbours dont bother about anybody but them selves - there are a few elderly around here and they must be struggling.:(
and well done to you and Dippy for helping others :A:A:T:T
MrsChaos Happy :bdaycake:Birthday - glad you have the day off!
greenbee - glad OH is on his way- now you can talk face to face and sort things out - I think its obvious that you both feel very strongly about each other by what you are saying and you both just need to try to be considerate of each others position - i know that sounds very trite and obvious but sometimes we just need reminded of these things - i hope you work things out - dont even think about splitting up as you will regret trying to work through it together - thats what couples do remembeber - they work together and try to find compromises for whatever situation is causing the problem. I would seriously re-consider your trip - Edinburgh has been very bad - airport has been shut several times - Loch Lomond would be a no-no!!! (((hugs)))
Kazw (((hugs))) - silly man he should have realised it would be rubbing salt in! and even more (((hugs)))
maybemischief well done you for battling into work - I really appreciate the efforts my carers have put in to get here - some are walking miles! I would be very firm and polite with your clients and not let them moan! Point out that yes you maybe late but at least they are getting a carer!
nicki keep nagging at them - you have a child thats not well and need heat
well done to the pigpen household!!!
vanilla (((hugs))) oh dear your sister is being silly and just making things worse for herself - I hope you dont get pulled into the deception.
ajmoney thank goodness they have seen sense - good to hear OH's Dad is home - I hope he is much better - we have not had mail either - apparently .....wait for it........ the posties are not allowed out to deliver for health and safety issues! They are reporting for work so I guess some sorting of their own stuff ready for delivery will be getting done but they have had to clear their yards with shovels while they are not allowed to deliver!
loads of (((hugs))) for everyone - seems the weather, the month, families, money, health and all sorts are giving you a hard time so I hope it will soon pass.
I wont bore you with my crappy day it is nothing compared to what you guys are going through.
toots xxPeace will be mine

I am going to try calling the sorting office, they may let me go and pick up our mail, we are waiting for some vouchers and until they arrive we can't sort a lot of Christmas stuff out.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1931.07/£2700
