  • Hi guys,

Hope everyone is feeling as good as possible. Hugs, spoons & sticks to all who need them. Hope the snow isn't causing you too much greif....

Have been MIA for a few weeks now(& missed you all, but it was unavoidable), but will be giving Flylady my all for the foreseeable. Plan to catch up with this thread today too (not sure how I'll get with the others, but I'll try).

Have a few bits of news since I last posted.... OH proposed on Sat :-) which was great & is keeping me 'up'....car died on me on Monday (at garage atm & they've advised they can't look at it till Thurs), & was put on Garden Leave yesterday due to the latest round of cutbacks at work.... so need to get busy in the house & keep myself occupied..... Additional tasks for me today are:

    Pay CT
Visit Bank & pay in Bday £ to savings acc( snow permitting)
    Update CV
    Wrapping/onine shopping as appropriate
Nappy Cakes (1 or 2 if poss, as need as much extra income as poss)

hmm.... that's it for now, - will update later! xx

    Good morning everyone!
Snow day here again. Gooness, it was blowing a blizzard here at 7am. Very atmospheric. Now got golden sunshine on snow, beautiful, and freezing freezing cold.
Going to work through some of the maths sites that were kindly given to me yesterday once DD2 gets back from her paper round.
I agree with the national, or at least well co-ordinated local guidance for school closures. Surely with so much H&S floating about there has to be a plan, with risk assessment somewhere. I say this, because in the course of my work I have to make up RAs for the most ridiculous of things, and can hardly believe that schools/LAs aren't required to have a co-ordinated policy when it comes to something as important as this.
Right, off for a cup of tea (She said decisively!) Then I'll be listying.

:rotfl:mines going up too, thankfully kids at school. Just have to find a way for Rhys not to climp, pull or eat it. I'm sure he'll try all three.:D

Roads just the same round here and hubby has an appointment but i'm not sure what time. Will phone in a minute.... must leave library books back too.:o

Hubby has PROMISED to give me a hand today in sorting this house out, there is just too much rubbish so we'll be armed with bin bags. I want this house more organised and a home for everything. No more tripping over stuff or having problems finding things. The only rooms that won't be done are the kids (they can do it themselves). I want all the small DIY jobs done and i have a list of 50 things saved that need done. :o
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

    Congratulations Mazzarati
Jjef can I have those links too please :) DS1 has missed his tuition this week and needs something

Morning folks. Well that's both of mine on snow days! I've had an appointment cancelled too but I have a spare prescription so should be ok. We need to check on relatives so I'm going to phone round in a mo to see if any need anything collecting as we are into the 7th snow day I think supplies will be getting low. I need to check the ones in the street too. Dp is phoning the centre later to see if the youth group he volunteers at is open, I can't see it if it's like this. Pleased we planned a day indoors apart from moving things to the garage, which will need digging open. Wish it was attached to the house! Oh and the shopping is still in the boot, hmmm. Got dinner of steak in gravy in the slow cooker, just need to do veg and spuds.

Ok so today's list so I am more organised

    Check on relatives then locals
Path clearing and shopping as needed
Take things to garage that need to be there
Put away Everything else that's dumped in DR
Sort animals as they need a clean out too
Put my mattress pad back on my bed
Kitchen list - at least level one
Bedroom list - again at least level one
LR list - you guessed it, level one
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
  • Nappy Cakes (1 or 2 if poss, as need as much extra income as poss)

Nappy cakes.... now that's interesting, I hadn't heard of those before, or rather, I had on this thread but hadn't got round to googling it. What a super idea! Goodness, the things you find out!
