Cold one here this morning, got the lane gritted and kids to school (they wanted a snow day). Rhys is in a foul mood, fire has went out twice now on me and it's to cold. Chicken in sc for later so at least that's dinner sorted.

Suppose i should get on, hubby can relight the fire, i'll get the wm on and get the snow suits in front of the fire to dry. Then carry on in the kitchen.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Morning flyladies. Been AWOL on an off for a while now...due mainly to very busy life and lack of working laptop. My mum has lent me hers so I can keep on top of xmas with internet banking and shopping. Finally got a minute to post as I'm off work with DD2. She's got tonsilitis and an ear infection. She's not too bad today but I think she needs a day at home rather than a full day in nursery.
So, as well as nursing a sick child I've also got DH at home. He's had surgery on his shoulder and is in a lot of pain. He's got really strong painkillers which makes him feel really dizzy and lightheaded and spaced out. So although he's at home I can't leave him in charge of DD2.
Anyway, its time to get the house in order. It's not too bad fortunately but there is a fair amount of ironing to do and some general tidying. So, I think I'm going to make a start on the ironing and tackle the list later on.
Please can I be added to the ironing challenge list too! Thank you!0 -
Morning all
Today's list complete. I've also damp-wiped the living room and computer desk and vacuumed right through downstairs and done the stairs.
Waiting for a delivery now, supposed to be about half an hour.
Delivery is here so I can stop watching out now;)0 -
Been to school for 15 mins but not enough members of staff made it in and the snow was crazily deep and still going so sent back home at 8.15am and just got in now.

Count me in.
Like the dot to dot idea, but I never really get to grips with finding homes for all the stuff I move.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -
Well I got my snow day but had to get to work first - they decided to close the school at 9.05 when they realised that we were a bit short on teachers it seems Clacks Council was one of the last to decided to close schools not good for parents who think kids are at school and have gone off to work!
Will make a start in the kitchen but going to make some soup first to warm me up.0 -
Thank you FCC I'm in - and boy do I need it! My LR is taking priority today as I can barely see the floor  but a couple of HHC's in here should see it right, then I will crack on with the list.
I too don't have an ironing pile
so that was easy!

Amazing.. you sell the first item on Ebeast in a year and end up dealing with a complete lying FW.. and remember exactly why you haven't put anything on in a year.. why do they buy stuff and them lie about something being wrong with it?
Pair of boots.. new, boxed, unworn... and they bought Tiddles fleece sleepsuit too. Apparently the sleepsuit is fine.. the one I repaired before sending it!!! But the Perfect, never even tried on boots are damaged.. I don't think so!!!! Anyway.. I have asked for pics of alleged damage because anything wrong with them they have done!
Horrible, lying, cheating, thieves... I hope they fall over in the boots and break their neck!.. I really loathe dishonesty!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Just quickly before I start, are there any flyladies anywhere near Newcastle or on the route between Bedford - Newcastle? My OH has to travel to Newcastle for work in about an hour or so and stay overnight before coming back tomorrow eve and I'm worrying about the snow causing him travel problems. He of course is all gun-ho about it and reckons he's immune to mother natures wrath...
Right, HHC off I go. GL Sunnygirl, see you on the other side! So, there are these boys,
