liking the painted flowers idea. My wellies are currently green hunters. A very thoughtful pressie from Mr C. I used to have pink ones and was desperate for red ones. I really needed new wellies. He left them for me on the doorstep wrapped in red crepe paper with an apology that he had been unable to get red in my size. Saw red ones in Cheap Charlies last month but resisted as I was having the holiday.

Just a thought Daffy, those ones in progressive safety say that they are food ones. You should check if they are suitable for outdoor wear or simply for food factories. 'Then again you could wear them when making your pancakes :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I will indeed be checking cheri :D Mind you, if they're fine for food factories, I suspect they'll suit my lightweight wellie purposes :D

Well I grew up by the sea and what I miss most is the seagulls! Still, saw a flock of waxwings yesterday so I have been mollified for a while :D

The gulls are all here! Lots of Black Headed's around here at the moment - bizarre as we are nearly as far from the beach as MatyMoo! it's been raining here all day so most of our birdies have sensibly kept a low profile today. On better days though we get blue & great t*ts, Long tailed t*ts occasionally, collared doves, the inevitable starlings, blackbirds, sparrows and robins. Saw a treecreeper in the woods across the road a few weeks back, and are lucky to have an RSPB reserve not far away which gets lots and lots of ducks and waders as well as resident kingfishers.

Cheery - like the idea of painting flowers on boring wellies - goodness knows I have enough nail varnish too!
